I am killing some time before going to an eye doctor appointment. I'm seeing a shield icon on Cerebro's and Fuzzy's post...what does that represent?

I've had my Samsung SyncMaster 213T (21") LCD for a couple years. Text and graphics are crisp and clear, no problems with gradients at all. What graphics card do you have? I have nVidia, and installed the software that came with it, and made adjustments through that. Also, my current (and previous) card came with Analog and DVI (Digital) input, so have the DVI plugged in.
Still here as well...
Why not grab the MS Vista Upgrade Advisor? Click me! I tried that one a couple weeks ago...and for some reason it recommended Vista Home Basic! I ran it after I had upgraded my RAM and graphics card. It might be my CPU that is not up to par. AMD Athlon
Congratulations! I think you need to create Object Dock icon just for her!
Thanks Kilo! Edit: I found the pages (thanks again), and was browsing through some of them. Not sure if Apocalypse_67 realizes this, but his site's comments are all spam/links.
Question: There used to be a tab at the top of the page(s) to view the WC personal pages...was it moved, or is there a link somewhere that I'm not seeing? Thanks!
I'm too scared to look. every time I click that link TrendMicro whips out a big scary red window yelling about a malicious site. Well, there are some ads on that page, so perhaps it's one of those...but the video itself is fine.
Good choice of music to go with it too.
...apparently quite a bit! Check out this absolutely amazing video of what *can* be done! WWW Link Sorry if this was already posted elsewhere on the forum, couldn't find any references to it.
It works for me now, thank you!
I just tried again, this time from my workplace computer using IE6. All cache and cookies cleared out prior...same problem from here. :/
I upgraded my video card last week, from GeForce FX 5200 Ultra to a GeForce 7800 GS. I am using the driver 91.47 which was included with the card. So far, no issues...I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary on the CP either.
Okay, thanks for replies...at least now I know it's not just me.
When I go to my personal photo album, and try to add/upload a picture, by clicking on Photo Management and then Add Photo, I get a strange window with duplicates of the page's header instead of the upload buttons/menu. Then my browser (IE7) goes through some sort of loop of trying to load something and then crashes or becomes unresponsive. Following is a screenshot of what I see.... anyone else getting something similar?? <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v99/amadams/wincust.
Happy New Year to everyone! I'm going to ring in the new year at work, where I am right now.
Thanks Cavan and Bichur...I downloaded this one directly from Stardock. I will ununstall this, and get the latest from SDC, which I have. :o/ Not sure why I didn't do that in the first place.
I just downloaded and installed Theme Manager (2.24), but none of the suites show up in the preview window (right side). Am I missing something? I have the latest WB and DesktopX installed.
I wish someone would explain to me the benefits of Ultimate as opposed to Home Premium. I don't see what's there for the home user to justify the huge price difference. Here is a comparison table for the different versions > <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/editions/default.msp
I hope this works...
Excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing it...looking forward to the next installment!
Skinhit November 21, 2006 01:48:15Reply #1 Welcome Mary, we like fun...good luck...this will at least get you started WWW Link Wow, that is a great set of tutorials, very detailed. I've been a member here for a while now, but never tried WB skinning (only ODock) because it seemed too complex. But with these tutorials, I may just give it
I'm not seeing it. Guessing it has to do with the use of a non-English language. Can I get a little more help? My guess would be the color banding on the background gradient..it's very subtle, but I can see it....Or, possibly the "asp" text to the left of the "Place your bets" (All Programs) button.<
but yet far slower than Firefox Actually, FF2 renders pages quite a bit slower than IE7...at least on my machine. It is almost instantaneous with IE7, whereas FF loads the page, and image placeholders, but only renders the graphics one item at a time. I have IE7-Final, FF2, and Opera 9.02...I use all three, but IE7 is my primary browser.
