As the title implies, the store page for Elemental should be updated to reflect that the game will not be supporting 64bit versions (as per info posted on the forums). Simply this could be considered false advertising and I dont want to see Impulse get in trouble. Unless of course the game WILL support 64bit which would simply be awesome (even though my current gaming computer is only 32bit, but future ones will be 64).
To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to elemental until I read that inteview. For one I thought it was going to be a single player only game like GalCiv2. For another, I didnt realize it was going to be so customizable and moddable. My third qualm with the game was that I didnt like the stylistic graphics in a psuedo cartoon rendering. BUT the part about dynasties and multiple generations and stuff like that really peaked my interest. Genetics systems,
I take it the Now promotions are at an end, but can anyone verify this? I cannot tell if they ended yesterday or if my Now simply is not working again. It would be better if Now had a show promotions button to that is always on when the "show promotions" box is checked even if there are no promotions available. At least then it would be distinguishable from when Now has it disabled. Or simply keep a dedicated "check for promotions" function even if promotions are turne

Originally I wasnt going to preorder Dark Void, but rather wait till it hit the bargain bin, but Impulse did it's 24hr thing and I couldn't resist. Not really sure why it started working today when It hadn't been working all week, but who am I to argue. I guess I simply have to keep my computer up all the time so that nothing causes Now to not work again. Ahh well. Now if you guys just do the same with Mass Effect 2, I'll be in business!

Indeed, Impulse has really raised the bar. I really want to support more of Impulse games and I do when I can (like ME2 I'll probably preorder). But at the same time, I just cannot pass up a $5 deal for a $50 AAA title. I do wish some of the deals Impulse offered this year were phenomenal though :) I'll likely still get Trine through Impulse inspite of the $2. not working again... it seems when the computer is put to hibernate impulse doesnt reconnect properly. Luckily it doesnt seem I've missed out on too many good deals aside from demigod. this is sort of turning into a joke at this point. a very sad joke.
Cool, just had GalCivII show up. It's unfortunate that I already have the complete game and dont know anyone who is really into a single player game of that style. Hopefully it continues to work now though. I'm not sure what they did, but it must have been on their side because I didnt change anything in the last 48 hours that would suddenly make it work.
Yeah, I dont know what the deal is with Impulse Now. No promotions or anything have shown up in days. I prefer not to purchase through the website, so hopefully they fix this soon or I'll miss out on all the deals...

I cannot seem to find a way to changes my desktop resolution in KLP. With some games, I have the problem that, after I've exited the game and back to the desktop at its correct resolution, I will then put the computer to hibernate and once I come out of it, the games' resolution is invoked instead. I really like MyColors program alot. That said, there are a couple of things that annoy me to no end about it. First is that every time it is updated, it requires a restart. That is fine when it is only updated every few months, but recently, there has been a frequent amount of updates and restarting just seems unnecessary. Second is that MyColors creates a desktop icon EVERY time. I have no icons on my desktop (not even recycling bin) favoring instead object
Normally Object Dock works fine with games when the resolution of the desktop and game are the same. But when the resolution of the game is different, within several games, the clock and buttons of the object dock still function (causing issues when mouse is moved to the edge of the screen and flickering of the clock as it refreshes every second). I dont want to reduce the system volume, but rather itunes volume. Often times I am playing games or using voice chat while listening to music and at different times, I will need to hear things better than others. I dunno, I've had this laptop for a year and a half now which came with vista ultimate. I've had one BSOD and that was toward the beginning. Other than that, I've had no problems in general with vista aside from the normal annoyances of vista that I've long since disabled. The only vista feature I still use is aero which runs well on this machine and looks decent. Needless to say I'm with everyone else looking forward to windows 7. Hopefully it's far less
Mine worked fine, but I got to it early and I triple checked to make sure I was applying it correctly to the game I wanted. The coupon does have an advantage over, say, a sale weekend in that you can choose what game or app you want to apply it to. But the fact that this is not a weekly phenomenon like the weekend deals and giving very little notice about when it was going to be released was probably its greatest downfall.
