This would be a nice option. And would be better if you can set it for each empire without having to mod it in. That way you could set up a bad guy or two that cannot be reasoned with that woulf be your main enemy in the game.
Well I'm on the side that AoW:Sm wasn't that great. Speaking from the version that went retail and not all the mods that are required to possibly make it into a better game. The fact is out of the chute AoW:Sm was craptola and I was teed I wasted money on it. Then that community got involved and ruined even more of it that I was trying to enjoy. Took away flying from Wraiths! How ridiculous. The community was more concerned about making th
Quoting Sanati, reply 14 You are really alone on that opinion. The poster above you agrees with me, and AoW has been brought up on these forums by many other people in the past as a shining example of where Elemental could aim for. Gamerankings.com also has Shadow Magic at 83.59%, slightly above the base game, while metacritic has it a 82% with a user score of 9.0. It's an amazing game, and you are the first pe
"I think it's working just fine. It's made the game "more challenging". I'm certainly glad for non-balance items and things in the game that keep it that way. Too many changes can ruin a game just take a look at AOW:SM if you don't believe it." I play AOW:SM extensivley and I'm not seeing what you mean by this statement. This is still the best game in the General to date (But AOW3 may change that.) And with all the updates as well as the
Agreed really hate it when game developers use the "Flavor" excuse for a bad design decision.
It's for the precise reason that you listed that this XP sharing system was put into place. The stack of Doom is MoM was what broke the game. Pack all your heros into one large army, give them movement speed up the nines...and destroy everything...not fun. If you did play MoM, you know it did not work that way. I remember clearly that capturing an air node stuffed with lightning dragons wouod

Totally useless as a resource, and indeed absolutely no reason not to design every single unit with a mount. They should be made much, much, rarer on the map, they should take up a normal accessory slot, and they should probably all have negative dodge rather than bonuses. Probably make horses +1 movement with increased weight capacity and -20 dodge, then make wargs +2 movement and -10 dodge, w
The point of the post, I checked the units - and they have 6 traits, not just 3. Is that normal for AI cheating? AI is not "cheating" on Expert difficulty or even the higher ones. It's getting handicaps an advantages that it's suppose to get at higher difficulties. The AI does not really "Play" any better at higher difficulties it just gets more stuff to play with which might se
Is it possible then so that when you kill a stack, or a random mob, you move into its square? So you can kill and loot in one turn? I always thought it was weird that in attacking them I didn't end up in their square once conquered. Chess has already implemented this feature .
This is a very logical suggestion. I am all for ending movement on the world map when combat occures but if you are the attacker and win then
Derek, Brad: please pay special attention to Haydun and mangadrives posts. I am currently playing Age of Wonders 1 more than FE for one reason above all else - the UI. Playing FE can feel like work; the UI lacks design cohesion. Data is just spread all over the screen and buried in sub-screens, with what seems to be little consideration for the user experience and flow of a turn. It appears m
No, we don't want you to be a stupid. Most of the time when people say they want balance in a game, they mean that they want things like; combat abilities, level talents, techs, etc to be fairly equal in use to another choice that cost the same amount of exp, time to research, etc. Balance helps diversify choice in games. If I want to play as a wizard Sov, then I would like that the spells I pick and the techs I
Well you could hold off and get Age of Wonders 3 which will be out at the end of year. I have pretty much given up on Elemental as have several of my friends and we were all pleantly surprised this weekend when we heard that Triump is making Age of Wonders 3. Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic for us has been the best and funnest Fantasy TBS so far. We had hopes for Elemental to replace the aging AOW:SM but sadly it does not really compare, art is not a style which we like (we pretty mu

Overall, though, Skyrim is probably the best overall game of the three in terms of general quality. But how can I fault you for preferring Oblivion when it was so good?
Skyrim and Oblivion as well as Daggerfall back in the day were very good. Morrowind not so much.

Post actual bug reports, or it didn't happen. You can't expect Stardock to fix things unless you are a lot more specific then "it's buggy". Many issues are hardware specific so you have to bring

("Obvious" after you reload the savegame and try again.) Even a game should not waste our time. Fixing bugs probably should attack the problem from two sides: (1) Fix the easy things immediately. (2) Acknowledge harder problems and schedule their solution for som
