Such as: Peace Treaty - You formally agree to not start a shooting war for so many turns. The length of time

I barely ever notice it, and when I do it does not bother me enough to detract from my over-all enjoyment of the game. I hope they don't spend development hours on this, as there are so many things that have a much larger impact on the game-play experience.
Well the zig zag does not bother me either. I think its brilliant(ish). [e digicons][/e] you might be misunderstanding him Parrotman, or me. But the only thing th
Ading tactical combat would dramatically change GalCiv, and IMO not for the better. Let me describe how GalCiv is: You design ships, you arrange fleets, you send your fleets to attack other fleets, then the best part, watching the battle unfold (which could be done in a more dramatic fashion, and I hope this is addressed in GC3). This is what GC is, and I love it this way. Adding TC, would destroy the battle viewer, a
I think some people's definition of 'new game' means it has to have tactical battles and 3D maps.
I just settle for tactical combat while keeping the other aspects of the game just as they are. And yes you can have both. 3D map I don't care about after all this is a TBS game so 3d is not really needed
I watch movies for awesome effects. I play games for awesome gameplay. The problem with what you're asking for is that it will take away from the gameplay.
No it won't. There are several games that havfe good tactical battles while having good stratagy gameplay. TC would enhance the gamplay of GC3. If done right (See AOW3 for an excample of good TC)
Unless steam changes their methods of distribution, I would probably say this is not going to happen. Also, if they enable a hotseat multiplayer, but by the way they set up multiplayer it doesn' t look like that will happen either.
So there is not going to be Hotseat? They need to at least of hotseat I love to play more than one side when playing TBS games (ala AOW3)
Be really cool if we can design our own fighters. I will say this I spent a good 60% of the game in the Ship editor when I played GS2
I have a suggestion after I saw the planet screen. Why not have a simplified, fast paced Risk type game(unit replenishment for defenders, reinforcements for invaders if any) when you invade?
The old Star General game did this and it was fun.

GS2 allowed you to create races and if you had a pic to add you could make what ever race you wanted. I stopped using the oficial races a long time ago because I had created many different races and only used those. I'm assuming we would be able to do that in GS3
I've played GS2 for year but did not know it had a campign until now. I don't usally like campaigns in 4x games anyway since I perfer the sandbox part of the games.
Quoting Bellack, reply 57 No one is suggesting switching our coordinate system which really has nothing to do with this game disgustion. A lot of the facing rules for squares can be taken care of by the use of octagons. There are 8 faces and gives more gradation. The usage here is that squares provide a nice tessellation, in combat, it could easily switch to placing an octagon around the individual
