Also see some strange creatures that I don't know how to describe....f.e. top row third from the left look like an evil version of one of those fools who used to entertain kings but without arms.
Looks like a Thundercat to me!
Piznit
Secondly assuming the AI will only surrender while at war does they player always have the option of offering peace to keep an AI in the game?
In DA I dont think you have the option of peace. Whenever it happens to me, the little screen pops up and tells you they surrender to you or whoever. If you click the "speak to" button, it says they aren't a sovereign governing body or some such mumbo jumbo and they are gone.
The Thalans have apparently decided to try and kill me with embassies. A sneaky plan on their part.
Best line ever...
Have we really stopped evolving? Last time I checked, the ability and knowledge required to correct our vision was once beyond us. Sure that it doesn't prevent bad genetics from being passed on, but genetics are starting to take a back seat to our ingenuity. I recall reading (or hearing) a while ago that some success has been made in a special chip that if properly installed in a blind person's eyes, that it would allow them to see in the colour yellow. I need to check up on the details t
Is that a Dune kit, or a Thundercats kit?? Lion-o, and Thundara sound like Thundercats... Thundercats... Thundercats, ho!!
Alright Silver, I made a 2nd MV character, just for you! Invite Ares - God of War to your empire. PS. and access to the forum on the ToE site...
Yor + Breeder, while powerful, doesnt seem like it would be some game-changing, powerful exploit. No more so than giving them say, super Hive. They get a bonus to military and social manufacturing as well, so giving them cheap factories is always fun. I have toyed around pretty extensively with taking one of the stock races and changing the super ability and the homestar. From my experience, playing as the Krynn with the Hive ability and setting the homestar as Iconis seems to be the
Something that I haven't seen mentioned but that I think would be kinda important would be flora and fauna. Let's assume you do get a magnetic field for protection, and find water, and "make" a moon, and inject metal into the core to get the correct gravity, and so on and so...then what? There's entire food chains that would be missing. 1. I think trees and plants and green things are important to the atmosphere because of that whole photosynthesis thing and exchanging CO2 for O2,
Yeah, I saw that one, but don't they normally release one with a list of the techs or social structures and a brief description of what has changed? I remember seeing that for the Drengin/Terran/Korx/Thalan etc. I was just wondering if they ever released one for the Altarian.
Simply another reason I try NOT to watch the "news". If it isn't something like this, then it's just some other negative aspect, like the crime rate, or how someone's grandmother was robbed at knifepoint this morning...
Not directly i dont think it will. But of course, your score might be lower since your econ, military production, whatever, might not be as high as it COULD be
The Altarians arrived in TA beta along with the Thalans, correct? Ive seen an update where they will give a short description of the changes along with some of the new techs. Did they not do this with the Altarians? Normally I think it was a Draginol (sp?) post
is there really any other thing worth being a god of?
You don't even have a God of War yet! If I can find my registration key to create another character, I'll gladly fill those shoes. And Neilo should really be Hephaestus. Because he was the only god that was physically ugly ;p :SURPRISED:
Well, I didnt know what to call it, hence the ""'s around the word "bug". I suppose it would depend on how you look at it. Heavy gravity, for instance, would STILL be a heavy gravity planet even if you dropped spores on it. So if the Korath came along and bombed it, they would still need to know how to live in heavy gravity, or know the secret to surviving there. Conversely, if the previous colonists had a tech that reduced the gravity inside a dome or some certain area, then
If the other AIs are declaring war on you, try to start up your military a little earlier. It doesnt take much, just a few ships with some weapons will make a big difference. If you can, try to get the AI's to fight with each other instead of you. Pay someone to go to war. While they squabble amongst themselves, build your economy and some warships.
Anyone else notice this? This may be a good point to talk about hybrid worlds. If a planet has heavy gravity, how would the toxic atmosphere really change that fact?
In reality, it probably wouldn't. You've basically found a "bug"/exploit. Its not TA-specific, though. You can do it DA, also. Just wait for the AI to colonize a planet then hit it with a spore ship. I think that might be one of the reasons they upped the cost of the spore module in a recent patch<b
Ok, I just needed to know if I had to simply get zero years, or if I had to be in the top 4 of zero years. Thank you for the answer.
Can I get a quick clarification? Reading the Rulebook, are we still going by all ties get the 1 point bonus, or did we change it to "speed tiebreak is by score, and score tiebreak is by speed" thing? Just curious, because if I'm reading it correctly, all these 0 year wins will get 1 point for speed?
Thats good to know its on a 48 week schedule. Probably never noticed because I've never gone out of my way to make sure it didn't roll over into January. In the MVL games I always seem to land in April-June area for the ending date
Is the 4 weeks a month thing DL only? I always calculate the amount of time played by going to the timeline and seeing how many weeks are recorded and dividing by 52. Its always worked out correctly, but that could be just because dividing by 48 isnt too much of a difference.
Lets go with The Piznit, makes me sound really important
I think the server is racist because I told it I was from the country of Uhzbecistan
Says I cant register. "waiting on a confirmation email". Lemme just try again
Along with what DA said, in a smaller galaxy, those planets tend to be more important, so I might look at them and see if I can get them faster. Also, if you find a good one with any research tiles or you just want it to be a research planet, the 50 percent penalty doesn't apply. Thats only on manufacturing points. So if you can just buy the labs, go for it.
