Will it be possible to change the gamma levels in the game? My screen is VERY DARK!
Nidaros
Hmm.. isn´t something wrong!? First of all, I didn´t know GalCiv was a RTS, and second.. 1 to 10 players online? I thought the game didn´t have multiplayer, is it just me or have I missed something in the game? :)
And what about all of us who don´t want a "US Keyboard layout"?
OF COURSE THERE ARE ALIENS!!! In Star Trek, they are everywhere, and Star trek is NOT fiction, its real, they transmited it back to Gene Roddenberry from the future so he could write Star Trek! And if you look at the TV when there is a Star Trek convention there is ALOT of Klingons and Vulcans and stuff there! THAT PROVES IT! How can there be klingons if there is no aliens?? try answer THAT my Hard Rocking Amigos! Hrm.. well seriously, I think there are aliens, prehaps not inte
I love random events, they make each game unique!
Wow guys, what can I say? I am utterly impressed, game runs perfect! Cheers to you all!
Hahahahaha !
maybe in the 1.x versions.. Or what does Brad say?
Great idea!
Im curious, I have not purchased the game yet but I have a question. When you discover a space-anomaly, is it possible that it can open up a new path of reasearch that was previously hidden?
huge off the bat? sorry, english is not my first language, maybe you could explain in plain english :)
Im not quite sure I understand what you mean..
How about; All trade routes passing through my sphere of influence must pay a certain percent of toll (Is it called "toll"? Im not sure, anyway, I mean the thing you pay when for example crossing the border between two contries), the value of the toll can be negotiated in the diplomacy screen. To avoid toll, the race handling the trade route can decide if it supposed to be an "open" or a "smuggling" trade route. Then the UP can decide to vote on punishment of those having smuggling route
Well, I know a guy, he lives here in Sweden, but hey, whats distance in the Age of Internet LOL I can see if he is interested.
Well, defection of ships seems reasonable, but im not sure how likely it is for a ship full of say Alterians, to suddenly decide, Hey! Those humans arent to bad, I think I like them better then our own people.. but if planets full of aliens can defect, why not ships? I think it sounds like a reasonably good idea to let ships defect. On account of borders. Well, the reason for me to have borders in a game is not merely for the "fun" of it. ;) And instead of preventing a ship fro
Well, I think that borders would add to the game experience, but perhaps not in the realease edition. It will take quite a lot more discussions on how this can be implemented into the game sucessfully.
Seems like a good idea..
Ah, I see! Your post just seemed.. ordering ;) Well, misstakes happen... I still like borders though LOL
I agree with Morden. And Ted, this is a Forum, a place of discussion, not a place to give orders. :d
How about adding a "next page" and "previous page" to the forum, if the Forum were on multipal pages, each page would have a faster loading time. :) This would speed up things, sometimes its quite slow to load this page.
Maybe the manual could have some "stories", just like the "Our story so far..." spread out in the manual, this would make it more fun to read.. If you understand what I mean. :)
Well, borders may be to hard for the AI to deal with, how about some sort of buffert arround your solarsystems, perhaps 2-3 squares.
Look under "Encyclopedia" and click on "GalCiv User Manual". Tada-aa, there it is! ;)
Well I rather play a slow fun game than a fast boring game ;) I know the pathfinding is an important issue, but I am sure it is in capable hands. And I agree with Morden, this matter would open up an entire new front of the diplomacy issue.
Ted: Not quite true, that would be like saying; The land is free, you own the city. Even in space there would be some sort of rader probing the vast darkness. This would make you aware of the units entering you space. Quote: "It can't even be done here today on our singular planet." Cmdr. Lucky Jack It can´t? I would say that the space here on our planet is VERY controlled, everything from airplanes to submarines is constantly beeing monitored. I doubt that the
