Yup, it was terrible indeed, but as I said, many other things are less, the same or even more terrible than what happened at WTC. I think the reason why so many people think that this event was so much more terrible than anything else has mostly to do with media. If 10 000 people dies in Jugoslavia people might think.. "oh my" but not so much more. The US has quite a media capability so many things that happend there is blown our of proption. To you americans out there: Im not

Its quite easy, just create a playlist and save it DIRECTLY into the "playlist" folder in the GalCiv directory. That should do it, I dont belive that it will work if you create a playlist, save it to the HD and then move it into the "playlist" folder. It has to be saved (from WinAmp for example) into the folder. /Andreas :)

As I said, it depends on how long the war lasts, if a war last 100 years it is not likely they will be friends 5 years after the war ended.

I would like a game where war truly is the LAST thing that will happend after MASSIVE diplomacy failed.. For this example I use Race A and Race B (surprised?) ;) A has 4 planets and B has 5. A feels that it wants to expand to a new system and colonizes a planet close to B:s space, this planet is also supposed to be a base spying on B, but that is a secret. (This exchange of diplomacy takes place over a number of turns, maybe around 10-15..) B does not like

Code monkey: "as for scaling the scores by number of members, or only taking the top 20, again, don't see how it helps the community." The reason for this is that even small empires with few members will have a chance to climb high on metaverse, and not only the few empires with 100+ members that post crap scores.

Hmm, in one of my games the Arceans was beaten back by the combined fleets of the Altarians and Torian Empires, the Arcaens sued for peace and gave away all their planets except two. This was on a huge map so they were indeed in trouble. But then.. then an event came wich said that the Arceans had found an ancient device wich made them more and more powerfull over time, and I was to far away to do anything about it.. About 60 turns later a mighty Arcean fleet launched from their homewo
