Yep, just load them into the ship, move it to the selected system, when it arrives, click on the sun and then on the already colonized planet and the population will be transferred. Remember though, if you have several planets colonized in the same solar system, the population from the colony ship will be evenly divided among the planets. /Andreas
Nidaros
Well I have my real name shown and its fine with me, most of the fellows at the Metaverse middle-aged and doent have these problems of beeing shy or writing fake names ;) /Andreas
Are you sure that you register for GalCiv and NOT Drengin.net?
Im 23 and shaped like Adonis ;) /Andreas
Yes it does upgrade, during one of my games I had a severe encounter with the Drengins, I had 4 starbases along the border to them and within 5 turns after the declaration of war, all my starbases had been blown up by Drengin Anti-Matter Missiles! ;) /Andreas
Yes I know the feeling, when I play GalCiv it feels like I have been wasting my time when I played other strategy games ;) Except board games of course.. those are always fun.. World in Flames.. ahh, memories.. /Andreas
Here is my contribution, I do them by the 5-7-5 rule, thats what I have learned. ;) "Broken metal drifts, in the vastness of the stars, Silence at last." /nidaros
How do you build your Terror Stars and what defending ships do you use when you move them? I usually smack em full of goodies before I get them snailing along.. And for defence a couple of battleships and 10-20 anti-matter missles works great for me! /Andreas
If your a true Strategist, then you must be used to decisions! ;)
Yeah, Brads a cool fellow! :) Welcome to the forum pages and see you on Metaverse! /Andreas
Its optional, there are no musts ;) I dont belive you will get a printed manual, you will recive the CD-in a box. (DVD-case I belive) Yes, you can download the game without having the cd sent to you. And whats in it for you? Well a nice original-cd with a cool case of course! LOL /Andreas
You know that the game hasn´t been released yet, right? :) Patience is a virtue! /Andreas
The BonusPak isn´t that big, I think it will be around 10 mb. Its still alot of course, if you only have modem. /Andreas
Those who buy GalCiv (ONLY GalCiv) will recive ALL updates wich comes to GalCiv. The Drengin.net buyers will recive the same + updates for other programs.. So dont worry, those who get GalCiv will also get ALL the updates for GalCiv. /Andreas
The "gold" copy has already been sent for reproduction so the items in the BonusPak can´t be added, also the items in the bonuspak are still beeing made (some are done but not all). /Andreas
I belive so, the game will be as tactical/strategic as you want :) Depends on have you play it ;)
Remove ship design? There has never been ship design in GalCiv, if you want to make new units you can do it by modding. /Andreas
There is no ship design in GalCiv, there is a BIG difference between GalCiv and Moo3, GalCiv is more of a Civilization type game, but in space. /Andreas
Sorry, this is a forum for Galactic Civilizations, not skinstudio ;)
This is how it work. When it is your turn, you start to look around deciding what do to, meanwhile the computer starts to plan his strategy (during your turn) this dramatically decreases load times. If you finsih you turn fast, the computers turn will take longer as he didnt have so much time to plan his strategy. If you take a very long time on you (as you probably will at the larger galaxies) the computers actuall "turn" will go faster. The computer doesnt move any ships during y
I will write a real AAR someday, this game was just for fun! ;)
Well, I played the Humans (of course), my civ started in the upper right corner of the galaxy and I was able to grab some good starsystems (one with three class 16 planets), so when I fist encountered one of the aliens I had 7 worlds colonized (small map) wich made me quite powerfull (not the most powerfull, but powerfull enough). I started trading with them very early so a large part of their economy came from me, this was of the reasons I think, also, the Altarians were the most powerfull civ,
Well, I can say that I have finsihed my first game without EVER beeing at war, I just traded, built a few starbases and so forth. Its neat that you can survive and WIN without even beeing at war!
have you lurkers voted on the polls? :) /Andreas
I confirm Frogboys last sentence, its slick alright ;)
