Left 4 Dead.
What the f...?! Get some friends with the game and play it some more....jesus. Me and my friends still play this about 3 times a week average at the moment, and most of us agreed the other day it's the best multiplayer game we have ever played. If L4D was a dissapointment to you then you thought you were going to have fun in single player....

Agree with the death of adventure games, oh Lucasarts what has become of you :( I'd also add the death of space combat games like Wing Commander and X-Wing / Tie Fighter. Freespace isn't the same thing for me. All Starfox games since the original Warhammer Mark of Chaos Street Fighter EX Myth 3 Most RTS games since and including C&C3 Spore I guess I should stop now! :P
I mentioned that recently in this thread: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/341813 I don't believe saving and reloading will solve it, well it certainly wont for me because it is after loading a save game I will notice it the most.
It may have been the case that the mines were freshly deployed and thus still in their pre-activated state.
No that's deffinately not the reason, I've seen them fail to lock on or even explode several times. So much so I was asking myself whether the Z axis mattered. Some ships could fly right over a mine with no consequence, and other times they would blow.
For £3.19 I can buy 5 new outfits for my Street Fighter IV characters on my PS3 (that are already on the disc, I just unlock them), or I could pay £7 for all that Entrenchment gives me, making Sins an even better game and more like how I enjoy to play it. The Playstation Store can go screw.
Thanks for the tip mate. Rather than clogging the forum with everything I think of I just thought of another issue I should report. In long games in the later game loads of special effects stop working. I believe this is probably to do with saving the game and loading later although I haven't tested to be sure. I seem to remember only noticing it happening when I load a save game. Anyways the main effects that seem to dissapear are the light show when a ship
The day will come when CPUs are so fast that developers won't be forced into C or C++. But you are right, that day isn't here at the moment.
Depends what you're making. You could always use Ada :D
This was reported in the Beta so I may be reiterating a bug that's already known about but as there is no known issues thread i'll report it again just in case. Sometimes, and I'm not sure how to repeat the behaviour although it happens quite often, a star base will attack a ship as it comes in range but as other ships come in range it continues to fire on only the one ship until it is dead. It will not take advantage of it's ability to fire on multiple targets from the same ban
It depends on your race. If you are Advent or TEC then you can capture what are known as neutral extractors with the race specific colony ship. The frigate (not Cap ship) that is able to colonise worlds. The Vasari have a slight advantage in this department as they are able to use their scout ships to capture the neutral extractors. You can still capture an extractor that has been captured by another player.
Because I haven't really got it yet and I've been playing the beta can people leave any tricks of the trade they have picked up for Vasari to take entrenched worlds. Had a great game last night by the way, I'm still figuring out how to destroy SBs best as Vasari though. The AI is retarded at it, his Vasari fleets almost always loose. There must be a trick me and the AI haven't figured out yet. Do I need a Desolator? So far every single star base kill has be
My favourite is the TEC base, mainly cause it's almost Cylon ;) Have no problem with the way the Vasari base looks though, if anything I dislike the Advent one the most, esspecially the way it wobbles like a weeble sitting there [e digicons]^_^'[/e] If I was to criticise anything it would be that Ironclad put in the ability for stuff to look different as you add upgrades / skills and didn't take advantage of it on caps and star bases. Fingers crossed for a future
Spatzimaus Try reading what the guy said again. He is suggesting there is a bug in the preview of the route taken because it is not the actual route taken. Afterall what is the point of the preview if it is not correct. It sounds like a bug to me, regardless of it's severity.
I used to use Gamespot exclusively until I realised how biased they were. Several EA game reviews opened my eyes to how badly they review stuff. These days to get an unbiased (as I possibly could) review I use a couple of sites like Gamespot and IGN for general info and use Metacritic for an idea of how good it is.
There was some guy in England who just got tried for microwaving a cat. I think he was just doing it for lulz, don't know why the judge was so harsh on him.
Don't stress it will be here ;)
Late game Advent Cap ships are likely to have the highest average level also, with the tech that auto levels them for several levels and the ressurection of high level ships. Also doesn't all the increased culture mean higher yield from owned planets on your border regions, far away from your home planet?
There is too much tolerance of sociapathic behaviour in online gaming, the smell of money normally comes first. Blair I have to praise you, from all I've heard that is exactly the kind of stance I'd like to see other online services take. Appeal? Haha, unless he gives the phone number of the theropist he is now seeing to start feeling empathy for other human beings then screw him.
Phaze stabilizers' recall fleet (or zombie fleet, or whatever it was called..) ability used to be rediculously overpowered, and in an effort to balance it has been made to cost money per-fleet summoned. I like this change (not new, I know), but at present it requires quite some micromanagement of each phaze stabilizer once you get close to the supply cap, unless you want to spend the pretty high amount of money and only get 1 subverter. Either the auto-cast should not operate un
Haha, some of the weapons were so overpowered but what a great fun game! I remember the terrain deformation consisted of holes in the terrain from explosions and then the pixels going downwards like sand so you ended up with this spiky pixel terrain as the game went on. I played Worms for a hell of a lot more than I ever played Scorched Earth though. Pick yourself up a copy of Worms Armageddon, you owe it to yourself! ;)
The birth of the wonderful Worms series, hope it comes to PSN :)
This is a Skype issue as I've had it do it to me on other games also, was really peaved off about it as I had just bought a new game when I installed it and was trying for ages to get the game working thinking it was the game's fault. Anyways the way to solve it seems to be to close Skype, start up the game and then start Skype afterwards if you want to use it, seems to work for me.
I'm sure it's the old grandma to suck eggs cliche but have you checked for different vid card drivers Blair? Otherwise look for a quick release from your vid card manaufacture as they realise a massive game just made their cards look rubish.
Antorak Marauder -Stabilize Phase Space is no longer a channeling ability, but is still interruptable.
What does this mean? My guess: I can still move the Marauder and do other actions but if the Marauder gets disabled it's interrupted?
What would your test have been then? And why don't you do it on 2.5 and post the results then? More to the point why don't you play with Beta 3 some before judging?
