[quote who="Shadowhal" reply="10" id="2054203"] one of my points with mines is the following: the size of individual fields is not huge, but it's ok. the result, however, is that you either go all out and mine very heavily or you don't all. placing just 2 - 3 fields is almost useless, you probably have to place like 100 mines in total to reach a mass critical enough for it to be of any use. which gets you into the 8000 credits range. quite expensive. especially considering that they can

It would be nice if there was a way to script things at factory worlds, so I could say every 5 mins build 2/3 scouts and auto explore or something different. I just hate the fact that with everything else I'm monitoring and trying to manage I have to pop back to 1 of my factory worlds, queue up some scouts, then come back and click them to auto explore once they are built, that's my issue with it. Personally I'd prefer an esspionage system but certainly automating scouting a bit m

Im always hearing "this and that" but never the part where you ppl say "oh my, here i fucked up by not going over there to cripple that fleet over there because i never knew it was there because i never use scouts." I've ordered it for £8 because of responses in the thread: h ttp://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/338126 Hoping I will like it more than -=XX=-Nephilim :)
Ok if you wont concede it's a bug then how about admitting the behaviour could be improved? As currently the AI in question has 1 gravity well with 2 phase gates and 0 gates at any other planet, I've no idea if he's teched to RA. I've played Vasari exclusively and I've never put more than 1 gate in a well, that's crazy, 1 in each at least first to make your whole system 1 hop away and you have more than enough gates for RA.
I've encountered the AI creating 2 phase stabilisers in the same gravity well, that's crazy, esspecially considering how much logisitcs they take up. I did say it was minor ^^ Wish the AI was moddable, would be something I would really enjoy tweaking.
Wow, thankyou, very fast :)
Things I would LOVE to see in Sins: Random events, On/Off selectable like pirates, things that could drastically effect large campaigns such as blocking phase lanes or making planets uninhabitable. The events can be what you like, Asteroid strikes, Alien invasions, Star collapse, whatever, just these kind of things would add to the whole experience. Maybe there are ally events also with ethical (which affects relationships) decisions that have an effect elsewhere such as e

Not all game developers label their game as RTT, instead mention RTS, but try to mention their game is different from a traditional RTS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_tactics If you are into RTT, you might want to check out World In Conflict. It's nice to see I'm not alone :) @Sternes, absolutely, that's just ike me. @ -Ue_Carbon you seem to share the exact same feelings I have. I'm not the only one who avoids multiplayer RTS gaming, even though I wish I was good at it and enjoy other multiplayer games like FPS, MMOs, all sorts, which I am often extremely good at, RTS only works for me in single player. I come from the birth of RTS days, I completed Dune 2, many believe C&C invented RTS, C&C copied Dune 2 big time. Some might claim games like Mega-lo-Mania (which I also played) are more the birth of RTS, but put that game next to RTS of today an
I haven't played the beta and I would like to ask the following questions as I'm still not sure if I'll be able to get in to this game. 1) What other games or game types that I might have played would help me when playing Demigod? (The question what type of game is Demigod obviously isn't straight forward but I figured phrasing the way I have might help to answer whether it's the kind of game I'd get in to) 2) What kind of game matching system is there? If I play with fr
Some words I would use to describe this thread: Immature Rediculous Pointless Nasty Thoughtless Typical of multiplayer gaming
You first need to research the respective tech in the defence tech tree. Can't remember what it is called but basically it allows Jarun Migrators to create star bases. Once that is done all you need to do is create a Jarun Migrator (the colony frigate), it will look slightly different than normal, a different nose. It now has an ability to create a base wherever it is currently. So move the Migrator to the place in the grav well where you want the base
Great write up man. I gave it a quick go online and I was useless. I had never played CoH so I was really shocked with what was going on, I was desperately trying to work out how to build new buildings and only in my second game did I realise the importance of cover etc. How can I create a game Vs the AI? I was hoping to learn that way but couldn't work out how to. @<a id="ctl00__Content__RepeaterReplies_ctl00__LinkUser" class="hand" title="Click user name
I've noticed the same thing as patkhoo and I think it's a much more significant floor in the AI. I notice it when I have AI team mates, if they lose their factory planet and have already used all their logisitical slots on all his other planets then it is already game over for the AI. A bit silly really as some AIs have tons of resources when this occurs.

Considering the amount they are likely to sell times your price by 10 and you might be getting more realistic once they pay for design, production etc. And thats with not making much profit.
It works best as a 2 way street if it needs to be a 2 way street. Right now they are probably 100% busy fixing issues and balancing based on feedback already given. When they are closer to getting finished with the product you might hear them asking you to look at specific things or asking if you are happy with specific areas but right now not hearing anything from them is not a bad thing for us, they are busy making the game better. And seriously...? you 'need' developer
The issue I described of going from 0 to level 2 was my issue, the issue Lore Weaver is describing seems to be a different kind of issue I haven't seen.
So what price do you put on the fact that you aren't using tactical slots for the hangers? What price do you put on the fact that you can put these hangers anywhere? Even in gravity wells you don't own, and neutral gravity wells? Also hangers in a star base are a hell of a lot more defended than normal hangers. The price increase seems justified to me. If it wasn't for the fact that they take up 1 of my 8 upgrade slots I'd get them quite often.
He's talking about when you hover over the Capital Ship ability upgrades type icons on a star base. With Capital Ships, if my memory serves correctly, when you hover over the upgrade it gives you what you get now (Duration, Cooldown etc) and little arrows to the right to what it would upgrade to if you purchased the next level. I believe this is the same with Planet upgrades. The wierdness I saw when I was upgrading my Vasari Star Base was that on clicking to upgrade to th
