I bought Spore, you know the technology demo they made? Its quite fun for a technology demo, kinda expensive too. Im just glad im not playing ultra-girly Sims which is for little girls. :P Operation Flashpoint (Arma) is my sandbox.

Id rather Ironclad made the sequel, lol, and in about 3 years time...
Hope is the path that leads to eternal disapointment. Exchange hope for hype.
The DRM isn't too bad, its heavily misunderstood. One thing Im not sure about (like I said, missunderstood, lots of misinformation about it) is wether it collects market research data about PC specs etc?

Its cute looks act like a metaphore to its self. Its new, its got something fun and cool but it still has to grow up before it reaches the 'big leauge'. The kind of technoogy they used in other games could have amazing results. Maybe someone will try now...
Played for more than 5 mins and it becomes fun. They defiantly have music lol. Depth is fallout. Its not about some specific gameplay thing, most people realise this, its that fallout has a lot of depth to things like choices and freedom. All of the obvious stuff will be there no matter what, but will I be able to sleep with a girl, and then her mother and then kill her husband his entire orginisation and steel all his stuff, then sleep with her again? lol

Plus look at the grenade explosion, that's how you can tell it's in early development.
Yeah I hope no one badly judges the game from this footage. I actualy th
This isnt the MMO I thought. Or am I wrong? EDIT: yeah, I was right. Its gonna be late 2009 at best before we get *ANY* info on the 40K MMO which is the only one I care about. (Space Marine is a God of War 'clone', gameplay wise. Probably console only too.) What 40K fans and action fans alike want is the intro to Dawn of War - as a playable game ...
But I want a squad based coverin', firein', flankin' and chargin' 40K MMO that bridges the gap between action game and wargame! The combination of skilled PVP, awesome single player/small team/large team and huge team missions with super accssesable squad forming and role distrobution on top of a robust progression (RPG) system would simply be too awesome for words. Unfortunatly I doubt that will happen. Instead I expect cheap low numbers meele focused single pl

ArmaII has many people like this. <

If we are talking about the 'micro' nature of the mirpack then I think its cool also. I love upgrades, patches and progress and there is nothing as fun as seeing a game evolve into something so much more fun and deep!
JESUS CHRIST!!!! what craig fraser says is true!! the majority of fans are thrilled at this news im sure, its just a vocal minority who wpould probably complain if you offered sins 2 for free. if you dont think its value for money DONT BUY IT wait for the bundle pack, which will probably end up in stores eventually or included in the major expansion which im sure will be in stores.
Indeed.
Personaly I expect a certain "amount" of stuff from a expack, some are better than others but theres a "minimum level" and below that it feels like a ripoff. Thats generaly, in this specific situation I don't have enough information to decide but ill be buying it for sure. (Theres a sucker born every minuet and I'm right on time! heh). Here is the cause of 'concern' for me: Most of the stuff in the first Mirpack is currently 'kind of' doable through modding. It requires
I really hate redoing work that I could have planned better is all. Im sure it will be fine.
Yeah obviously for copies of the same object that makes sense, the only slight wonder I had was if two diffrent objects use the same texture, does it count them as diffrent textures? I doubt it, but I don't want to have to remap lots of objects later on... :D i.e. I have radar dishes and other 'fluff' for the particle system/entryvehicle etc which uses the same texture as its host ship (UVmapped at the same time also).
The whole xbox thing is kinda funny to us long term PC gamers. I mean we are used to free stuff, we have never had to pay for small updates. Mass Effect gave away the DLC for free for example, CoD4 map packs also, TF2 updates cost money on console don't they? Just look at M$ "Badly ported Xbox games for Windows LIVE!ONE!!1!!1" service which scrapped the sub based part for PC but 'box players still have to pay. lol. PC gamers don't pay for small updates which modders can
Yup... lots of replies. lol.
I wouldn't call it a code flaw , they have to write code for each of the various diffrent parts and we can't add to that (its thier soruce code). The better solution would of course be a scripting language but even with that they have to code all the commands and things we can do with it. This is probably a fundamental design for the engine and I doubt they will ever change it.
Sounds good but im hopeing its going to be done through upgraded functionality, rather than existing methods (abilites) because we want to be able to mod it to our own needs. Better base functionality means better mods! Im guessing for the price that this is going to be the case because £7 for something any modder can do would suck. :P
did you freeze the model again? :P
One of the varis capitals does that already actualy with "AbilityPhaseGateCapital.entity". I would try and get the ability working without research to eliminate problem and then add back until something stops working. Are you using the dev.exe? Crashes with error reporting on will give useful error messages. (and you can give your self all reaserch nice and quick to test stuff).
It means something is too large, i.e. you can only have 9 ships in a factory page, if you try putting in 10, it will give an error like that.
