Go to DanMan's website, i think he has a version of Sins Plus that he is using for his planets in the 7DS mod. Or if you are into Entrenchment, there is a new version of Uzii's Sins Plus mod that has been updated for 1.02 that i think also works with 1.03. :) -Teal

Annatar, It sounds as though anything short of a exe editor isnt going to work, though I had a thought that you could add new entries for the tec, psi and phase capitalship names in the string folder, but that is really only a partial workaround as it doesnt give your 4th race names specific only to them, but would also apply to the race you are adding the names for. :( Sorry, unless the Devs create something in the forge tools for modifying or adding race entries i do
i'm getting the computer "lingo" :) -T
Oh, i almost forgot, im only checking posts occasionally until i get back home, so if its a few days after you post that i get back to you, please understand. :) -Teal
I thought i would get some time to relax, haha, well, it was still fun, between the beach and the rain in the afternoon i got some time to work on two new mods, they dont change a lot, just tweak the sizes of the planets (4 times larger for planets) and (10 times larger for stars). I know there are other planet size mods out there, all of them better than mine, but i wanted the planets bigger than what i found, and i wanted the stock planets sizes changed, so i resized them myself.
:) Sounds nice!
:) Phase Scouts is still available, but for the original 1.05 vanilla sins, up on wincustomize.com, very cool mod. good enough reason to keep the original 1.05 folder somewhere. :) -Teal
:) Just finished class tonight!!! Finals over and saturday we are off to the west coast for two weeks!! But i saw this and wanted to download it, i'll give it a try, though im only taking the laptop, but still... wonderful to have you back wraith and a new version!! :) -Teal
:) https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/326876 Newbeorg made this, very very helpful, it resizes meshes. First convert your mesh from bin to text, use DK converter to convert from bin to text, once done, resize the mesh you want. If you re-name it something like customcapital, or whatever, then you wont confuse it with the original, or leave it the same name and overwrite the original in the mesh folder. Make sure you make a mesh folder for your mod, and name you
I uploaded these as zip i believe, and yes, i think the invisibles has a missing " in one of the folders which crashes things, i need to fix that, sorry for the errors, will get it fixed and post the new versions and delete the old ones and post the links here, sorry everyone. :( -Teal
:( Let me check, thank you for the notes, I will have to re-do them, i put in the wrong weapons without checking the research, my fault. Sorry, will have to go back and fix things. Thank you for the post, i promise i will fix it asap. -Teal
:) Nice thought EvilTesla, but i cant let you do it, it isn't fair, and besides that, it looks like the orientation is what it is supposed to be. I was wrong. Anyway, I appreciate the offer, but cant say yes. Its too much trouble. Thank you anyway though, but it really to be honest, isnt worth all the extended effort it will take to do it. But thank you anyway. The mods can be used for Wraith Mods yes of course, though im not sure my efforts are really that well designed
oh, i forgot, NightFall v1 is on the site too, :) That one has Oversize Planets (only two times) that i resized, and the stars are two times resized. :) It raises costs of ships and limits resources, and was a try at having a 'slow' game. :) Usually only enough money and planet logic points to get a cap and the hostility and humane towers. You might want to invest in Gun platforms for defense, because it will take a good while to build a fleet. In additio
Hi, I just finished a fourth mini mod over the, last two weeks, it was great fun, but will be diving back into school next week to finish off the semester, then will be going out west for a small vacation before starting school again in the fall. Each of the mini mods had a central theme i wanted to try out, so they are very different from one another, and make for good variety if you want to try so
:) Very Nice DanMan!! Alot of people wanting to get into modding will be happy for something like this!! Very very kind. -Teal

CursedSpirit, I checked it twice, link is good, but instead of just "running" it, go ahead and download it, ok? Maybe there was something with the filefront servers, but it works now. :) Give it a try and let me know, try the "save" option instead of just running it, ok? :) -Teal <
apart from importing it to .XSI format. (difficult to do) than rotatting it in XSI mod tool than converting it ALL the way back into .mesh. I see no way to do it.
:( hmmm.... well.... i suppose that is that. Wish it were easier though. -Teal shoot, well.... sideways flying ships just aren't acceptable. :(
let me load it again. :( no luck on the first one. -Teal
hmmm.... looked at the mesh, the positions apply to several areas of course, more than i thought. In addition the vertices noted as FRONT and BACK are given numbers then list a series of indices underneath them. The matrix calculator i looked at (at Download.com) has a lot of functions, but i dont understand what they mean. Hmmm..... I could pull out the entity rather than the mesh and see if i can play with the numbers. you said [10] and [01] or [10] and [0-1]
:) Thank you, i'm trying now to see how to export from Sins into the mod tool, from .mesh to ... im trying to think what mod tool uses. But once converted, then ... or perhaps i am misunderstanding, perhaps i can go straight into the mesh folder and manipulate the mesh directly? If so, it would be easier, no export, no impor
Hi, I'm working on a new mod and need to ask two questions please. Is is possible to change the orientation of a model in the game? And two, is it difficult to do? I am working with the XSI Mod Tool and have 1% experience with it, but am still trying to learn. The uv's and model maps are unknown concepts, but im reading alot. Thank you for any help, Sincer
:) Interesting history, I will have to do some searches as well, just for general information. :) Thanks for the update, hope you get the permissions, -Teal
