[quote who="SpardaSon21" reply="4" id="1920935"]Well, what Sins really needs is viable refining. As it stands it isn't worth the slots as you can build a trade port instead, and then buy your metal/crystal on the black market. Each trade port gives around 1.1 creds a second, plus longer routes give more creds each port. Refineries aren't cumulative, and three refineries takes up 12 logistical slots, which is three trade ports. So basically, three trade ports for over 3

[quote who="Mazuo" reply="3" id="1920930"]Considering we already have phase jumping trade ships, I really like the idea of using the refinery ship model as a shipping force. Wonder if it was toyed with in beta. In-system would be pretty damn safe as the ships would just wait at the asteroid and move to the planet and back when they had a full cargo. From asteroids in dead systems, you could have them phase to the nearest controlled system. This would allow for mor

I'm dying to hear the story of the abandonned advent girl, the killer vasari or noble TEC ship commander! BTW you're really trying to make this game as 'movable' as possible arent you! I wonder if a small skirmish mode might help online gaming for SoaSE, say, if you could start with small, medium or large fleets, determined by the devs as to what kinds of craft make up those sizes of fleets. In that way gamers could jump right into a battle without the necessary build up time that is normally required for the start of the game. My thinking is that hard core gamers could opt for standard mode and spend however many hours they want, 2-3 or more, and the casual gamers
p.s Any and all help is much appreciated!! :) -Teal
I know its a silly question, but i thought if there were extractor vehicles, then we could load up on the asteroids out in space and use extractor vehicles to mine them. I know they mine already, but it would be nice to have the miners "move" :) It might throw a little more micro management into the mix. Battles are a bit heavy to micro... but the resourcing and the mining i wouldnt mind having a little more micro-management. Anyway, when i click on an asteroid the
:) Interesting question though...:) it would be nice to give it a try anyway...:) -T

Or perhaps one "extra" ship that the others don't More advanced, yes. Running for their lives from an even more powerful alien species? Yes. Advanced technology isn't always what
ps. Nice tutorials StCobalt. :) -T
I found a ctrl-shift-z from one of the modders on the forum that takes away the ui for a "clean" look, the game is still playable, though of course any interactions requiring the menu's are now not possible unless you ctrl-shift-z again to restore the ui. But it is nice and clean and interesting for screen shots and for basic point and click manuevering. The minimal ui is nice as it is mostly out of the way, but not entirely, but it is still there for use just not so big. And the devs "may" c
interesting ideas guys. :) im full up with school work right now, but this looks promising. :) Keep up the good work!! -Teal
:) Windows in the Cloud is an interesting thought, as computing and gaming moves to the net, it will be interesting to watch and see what happens. -T
:) Go for it Guys!!
:) You are doing Great!! Good story, lots of drama and good action, and you write very well. :) -T
:) maybe they really are moss, instead of mods, maybe thats how come i couldnt get them to work at first? :) Thankyou Annatar, i will see if i can edit it, i didnt know i could, i just had another with Mni mods for mini. Bad typing today!! haha -teal
I uploaded the mini mods i have been working on up to an account i created on filefront. I should have done it much earlier, it is much quicker, i had no idea. Anyway, the mini's are there, they are not really sophisticated or anything, but small tweaks for small things in game. But i hope that people like them, i use them, it makes things a little easier and funner... haha, it that a word? :) Anyway take care and keep modding!! -Teal h
:) i agree.
Ahhh... thank you. Its been about a week for me too. I just saw i typed Moss instead of Mods, silly me. :) -T Thanks StColbalt
Hi, I posted two or three mini mods, which were actually just touch ups on some of the ships inside the game, almost a week ago. It said of course to wait 5 days, but it has been like 6 and im wondering if i did something wrong when i posted it, perhaps it went into the void and disappeared? :) Anyway, anyone with experience posting to the Sins Mods Site, it they could let me know how the process plays out, i would app

There are convert tools in the forge tools that you can download from the site here. Also, keep in mind, though this is only my opinion okie? That if i made my carrier have 200+ strike craft (fighters and bombers) that you can walk onto a planet gravity well and mop up the floor with the bad guys. The battles are all like 60 seconds long. After a bit, i was sooo bored i went back to fewer numbers and touching up the speed and the weapons a little bit, and lowering the armor, bec
