How many games have been won by the team that was, at some point, 10 demigod kills behind? Yes, comebacks do happen, but my guess is that they are extremely rare.
Lol, I was in 2 games where it looked really bad for us today and still, we turned it around at some point. In the last game I would leave the base only to be whacked instantly by two UBs or an Erebus. (So much for testing a new build against a premade team in live battle... :P) Still, we managed to surprise and d

I played a few Pantheons and by a few I mean very few because I constantly ended up in games where a player had dropped, comp stomping matches, uneven pairings (2v1 Domination, YAY!) or really bad matchups (2 tower rooks on Crucible). The experience was so great that I decided to never, ever join the Pantheon queue again and only play custom. In custom you can at least be sure that you won't get teamed up in uneven teams, no AIs (if somebody drops early you can rehost), no stupid maps (Crucib
Sorry, jarjar, I skipped most of your EPIC WALL OF TEXT. Please use the return button from time to time, it makes it soo much easier for the rest of us. Thanks. [e digicons]:inlove:[/e] Three things add up to make minion Erebus a pain to play against: - He doesn't need to spend mana to generate minions, hell, he doesn't even need to kill them! - You get nothing if you finally manage to kill the horde. It seems almost futile but you can't ignore the rollies or they wil
I have the highest respect for Frogboy because he does not quit. Even when things get really messed up he will not give up. I just wish we would make it easier for him sometimes. Kryo is my faviorite moderator on this board. A big thank you goes to CariElf for all the hard work she and her team put into fixing the connecticity problems! As for GPG, I like GPG-Servo and Tyo although I haven't heared from them in quite a while. And I miss Unclean Beast (the employee after who the UB is
danomanox, you spent way too much time on php.net... ;) A 320 ping can work for 3v3 games without problems, same goes for 3v3s with one or two proxied players. I would not recommend to allow proxies in 5v5 unless you get the impression that the player knows his connection can really handle it (just ask him nicely and see what happens). What I really dread are the few 'poison pill' players who can only connect to one or two players and turn an 'all green' lobby into a a yellow
I agree 100%. It might be nice to add a
Just coordinate a DG switch, it would be extremely easy to identify your partners.
It is nearly impossible to make team joining impossible without sacrificing stable connectivity or something else. If you remove the demigods they will start to Morse with the ready button or screw with something else. The idea was to make team joining harder and more of an effort.
I would wager AI or no AI is a matchmaking toggle, you're better off trying to get stardock
What are the main problems in Pantheon, why do players drop or leave the matchmaking queue early: - Connetivity: I hate to say it but some players still can't connect to others sometimes despite proxies. It works for 95% but sometimes it won't work for some reason no matter how long you wait. - Friend not on the team: Well, you are obviously in the wrong multiplayer mode then. Off you go to Custom! - Not the right map and game mode: Yes, it's supposed to be random but
Holy ****! Some very good stuff there! I'm looking forward to replays and additional content. Displaying the ranks for custom games will make matchmaking so much easier and more enjoyable, I'm really looking for ward to that. :) Looks like you guys have covered most of the important stuff and it will make the game more enjoyable. As for custom games and ranking: we need some sort of ranking for custom games for matchmaking. If the custom games results sh

Hmm, does it crash to the desktop or does it reboot (BSOD)? Most software problems are caused by drivers, maybe update your graphic drivers or try an older version? But we need more information.
bump Please remove the AIs at least from all ranked games. Just to give you an impression: I think the screenshot gives a fair impression of how the AI performs in comparison to a human player. And I'm by no means a 'pro' player. Btw, those were 3 cheating nightmare AIs - not the 'farmable' AIs like Rook or QoT. There is no place for AIs in a competative mat
I was/am admin on two SupCom related forums and both have different rules. I haven't seen a post from Shadow that would call for a ban IMHO. Sure, he has strong opinions and he isn't afraid to speak his mind but as far as I'm concerned nothing he said was meant as a personal attack or not within the limits of reasonable critizism - which doesn't mean he's right btw... Frogboy, please unban Shadow. A ban without warning is a little harsh, even if you were understandably hurt by what he
Quite possible. I have trouble interrupting Sednas healing or other 0.3 second abilities too. On the other hand, if you could reliably interrupt Sednas healing... Speaking of Sedna, I find her Pounce interrupt even more annoying than than Penitence. At least Oak cannot heal all the damage you did every 7 seconds. One interrupted Spit isn't too bad if you have enough Ooze.
I do think that if settings differ from default, the offending setting should be displayed in the lobby at all times. I don't like it when people try to sneak past odd settings.
100% agreed! I accidentally ended up in a level 20, filthy rich game once and was lucky enough to realize it just in time. Some guys on the other team didn't and the whole thing was over in 1:58 minutes. Very frustrating for everyone.
Actually, some players can use the interrupps very well. I've encountered an Oak player who interrupted my UB 'Welcome to the party!' spit a few times because he anticipated it. The first time I thought it was luck, the second time I became suspicious, the third time I waited for his Penitence before spitting.
First let me say that I don't care much about the stats. What I do care about are fair and good games without AIs. I want to be able to play with PuGs when my friends are offline and in team vs team matches. Then another question I have: Why is Pantheon ranked at all? How can a game mode with AIs and premades/PuGs in the same match have any value for stats? Pantheon also forces you to play all light/dark in your team. This will actually make the outcome of the game more random. How ar
because currently Demigod is failing to startup for me
I wonder why. Actually I don't... [e digicons];P[/e] Well, good luck with LOL, I hope it suits your needs better. Btw, why don't you try to PM him? Anyway, enjoy LOL and bye
but that is what u get for a more complex game with lazy devs
si1fool, just because you don't understand how the game mechanics work and why a 350ms 'delay' is a good thing, you don't need to insult the developers. There are a lot of players with internet connections with hgiher pings and everybody would be limited to players on their continent. The way it is Austalian players can join US games, EU and US players can play together
I would like one additional mode: Sandbox : Exactly like Custom but no stats are recorded . It would be ideal for new players, players testing new builds/demigods and doing crazy stuff (5v5, on Cataract, strong towers and creeps...). I don't give a damn about my stats but I don't want to ruin somebody elses stats if the new build I'm testing turns out to be less than favorable.
Honestly, I don't understand why most PuGs prefer Pantheon over Skirmish. Pantheon: - is down for 2-3 days sometimes - you can join as premade team - the light/dark demigod seperation leads to really boring/annoying match-ups sometimes Skirmish: - always available - much harder to play as premade, better chance for PuGs - more variety because light/dark side demigods can be on the same team -
Thank you CTV, I lurve ya too! Very nice game today. [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
Sinzer, das ist nur deine schmutzige Phantasie bei der Arbeit... ;) Bindung an einen Clan mit TS und so geht mir eigentlich was zu weit, aber ich denke mal drüber nach.
Demigod has so much potential and it would be a shame if it would die because communication between the publisher/devs and the community ceases and important content (team matchmaking, bug fixing, replays, modding...) is released too late. Let me say it again: Demigod has great potential but it needs developer and publisher attention to make up for the unlucky start it had. I couldn't play online for 2 month after the release but I stuck around and waited patiently because I saw progr
