It's not imbalance; he was just a better player. If anything, TB needs some lovin' compared to other DGs, unless I'm terribly mistaken...

I have a dual monitor setup, but that's rather irrelevant to this thread since I always use WASD to move the view. It's definitely the better way to do it since it allows you to position your movement or targetting cursor more quickly.

What happens if it's 5 v 5 and 4 of the 5 opponents quit while one stays and plays the game to the

The community by and large seems decent.

The problems aren't fixed, connection issues are still major, and it's way too hard to start an online game.
Okay, the idol thing is probably unintended, but how is speccing and playing a character a certain way "cheating"? Excuse me while I cheat with my Regulus by speccing for Snipe...
Also, am I incorrect in saying that TB actually has some scaling issues during the later stages of the game, so perhaps a comparisson to TB might not be the most fair?
Well, I for one am tired of all the complaints about the complaints.
How about... ...um... BitTorrent? >_>
It's a pretty innovative puzzle, with subtle rules that explore the psychology of its participants and has a basis on internet technology. There's a fine line between giving up on a futile cause and having patience and perserverance in winning. What winning strategies can you suggest? One that I've tried if I'm the host is to open four slots. Then, I shoot for an 8 person victory, but if I can only get a 6 person victory, it's still better than nothing. Not only that, but if t

Start out small: be smarmy to your mom and dad, don't say "please" or "thank you," etc.
These are great stop-gap solutions, and I'm sure they are appreciated by those people that need to rebind their keys. Still, the in-game ability to remap these keys really should be implemented as well :p

Look, there are a number of things which weren't ultimately implemented as originally promised in DG. Generals aren't really RTS-style commanders of armies. The single player experience isn't fleshed out. That's how some video games are. For what DG is, it's special.
This shouldn't be, but the few games that I've played all lasted for more than 30 minutes. Mostly, they are 40 minutes to 1 hour. The developers said they want games to essentially not last longer than 30 minutes. Does anyone else experience these long game times? Does anyone else have a problem with them? Does anyone have any proposed solutions?
It would help n00bs like me, and it wouldn't give expert players any advantage. So, yes, I agree.
God , no. The games already take TOO LONG to reach a conclusion! I mean, the intention was to have evenly matched teams beat each other in 15-25 minutes , and unevenly matched teams to have games last 10-15 minutes. The permanent destruction of a tower is a permanent incursion into enemy territory. If you want to make up for this, then go to the enemies' side and destroy their tower! If half of your towers are destroy
Thanks for that status update. However...
In Epoch 1, custom games won’t count anymore as there’s too many ways to game it.
NO, NO, NO! DO YOU NOT SEE HOW THIS WILL COMPLETELY SCREW OVER THE GAME IF THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY THE METAGAME IS TO GET THROWN IN WITH A BUNCH OF RANDOM PEOPLE SO THAT ONE CANNOT PLAY WITH ONE'S FRIENDS? THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION!
The worst part is that no official notice has been given of what's going on in the forums, aside from the users discovering that the servers are down for themselves...
Yeah, this is really going to scew the game up for good if they implement this...
