Sedna needs help with gold and xp gains. TB does not . I'm speaking as someone who had to learn this as well, so I'm not looking down on you. If you are having trouble getting gold and xp as TB, then it's a matter of how you're playing him and not the character himself.
ganking is a way to retain mapcontrol , its rather easy to counterwork in this game due to cheap telescrolls/wards to retain control of the map , sure it might not be fun to be ganked , but there are counters as i stated . its a common known tactic and should be used in a game like this
Okay... It's a "commonly known tactic" in the DotA community. Should it be a "commonly known tac
As others have said in other threads, I feel like the power of the Capture Lock is way under-rated. On paper, 45 seconds doesn't seem like a long time, but in game it can feel like an eternity. They are relatively cheap, and I bet they can be quite effective at controlling multiple flags in certain situations as well as ensuring that a close stand-off won't result in a flag for the opposing team. I am going to try to use them more extensively, especially for valuable "central flags" t
I do hope you buy the game, in order to support its development. I then hope that you download a bad torrent that contains a trojan which wipes your computer clean. Cheers!
I killed a couple DGs as Regulus while dead last night. On one kill, I got primary credit while dead, and the screen at least reported that I got credit for the kill as well as the gold bonus. However, when I got credit for an assist while dead, the screen reported that I got 0 gold. Seems inconsistent. I too think that assists that happen when my DG is dead should yield a gold bonus.
I personally don't need a minimap scroll, as I do perfectly well with zooming in and zooming out, but I can see how some people would prefer it. A minimap scroll should probably be added/ Also, a good team ping is sorely needed. Oh yeah, remappable camera controls 2pls
My responses to 2-5 are much less harsh than my response to 1; be warned...
1. Your character selection is very small. For this type of game, it really should be much larger or at least twice it's size so that it doesn't feel like it's bland after playing it for several days. It almost reminds me of the original Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter which is

Also changing the in game currency from gold to dollars would be an enormous improvement.
That's a really awesome idea. PLEASE, Brad. NO item-merging. EVER! How can a pair of knives, some boots and a mask ever become a flaming axe?
Maybe it has something to do with the way my Demigod can wear 5 pairs of shoes?
I've noticed this, too. I think it probably has to do with the unpredictability of the human player. With the enemy all-AI team, the bots can "communicate" and execute tactics with each other. The allied AI could very well be trying to do the same thing, but the human player could make it unnoticeable/impossible. Of course, it could just be done on purpose to make the tournament more challenging.
This could be it. I've n
(although UB had skipped spit for some reason)
Which indicates that the UB player had no idea what he was doing. It's hard to make judgements about DGs when so many players can't play well.
Yeah, we could do that. But I already think there's good reason not to use Angelic Fury all the time, because if there's only one mob/demigod around, then its almost wasted mana already. Except for the attack bonus
Err, that's why you use AF even for one Demigod. AF + Snipe is a pretty great combo.
If you're playing a "hard"(lol) tournament with bots, what determines whether or not you win is if you get the demigods which have terrible AI or the demigods which have (relatively) good AI. Also, I have noticed that when I play a hard AI tournament, it seems like the bots on my side are even more stupid than the opponents' bots, for whatever reason...
No... Just make AF a halo or something and get rid of the wings. ...if it's that important, that is.
Booming Woman Voice: x AoE damage; throws back smaller units. Striptease: Shows some skin, stunning enemies forx in an area of y yards. Demigods are stunned for z seconds. Converts weaker enemy units. Midnight Hair: Dons an army uniform and shaves her dark hair off, flinging it at target enemy. Hair reduces vision radius of Demigod to x yards for y seconds. Objects outside of the radius of vision are completely invisble. Clay Shaper: Makes a clay pot with Patrick Swayz

This could possibly be something that the community could develop, provided that a full suite of c

I was going to say: ke5trel, if you were a humanoid rather than a hawk, and one of us were female, i would love to have my babies with you on second thought, we might be able to produce some Unclean Avian offspring and Liort, thanks and the same goes for you, but I'm pretty sure we're both dudes.
You see, there's this thing that's more important than fluffy flavor... It's called gameplay. I'd rather see Angelic Fury turn into a giant gaudily bright rather than make AF make Regulus go faster. If AF increases speed without a significant and constant mana drain, it would be too powerful. If AF did increase speed with a constant mana drain, I don't know if it would either make AF still too powerful or make it a pain in the neck to use. In any case, is it
Well... Even though Sedna can just cleanse it, your Torchbearers still can use Polymorph as an interupt. And if they can't time their Counterspells, then they should consider speccing for Improved CS. DUH!
So. When DotA was first released, it had 90 perfectly balaned heroes... amirirte? Also, GPG said that they are going to release new characters, and at least 2 more are already being prepared right now.
Seriously? Have you seen Erebus? Have you seen queen? Have you seen Sedna? Have you seen OAK?! I guess you've never even seen the general classes in action. First of all, they ARE built for killing. Their nuke attacks aren't AS strong as some of the nuke skills of the assassins, but they're there, and they have a-LOT of support skills, not to mention their minions. You can very easily play a general class as an assassin to counter another assassin. They're very flexible like that.[/quo
