So then I should stop trying to cap or hold flags on my own when playing as Regulus, right? The thing is it seems natural to do that because if I don't go to that flag right away, then no one else will since my allies are already busy capping other flags. Therefore it seems like a tradeoff in that the enemy can get more flags capped initially. On the other hand, being alone as I cap or try to hold flag
Quoting scyldSCHEFING, reply 1 No, but he's right. Most intelligently played generals are able to repel assasins single handedly, but it's a rare situation when the same can be said for an assasin vs. a general. Perhaps the only exception to this is a Rook with a full set of Towers of Light set up, but of course that takes quite a bit of time to prepare. And not only that, but in a 2 v 2 situa

Regulus is by nature more of a back lines heavy hitter. His unique strength is his ability to affect combat far from his location either through use of Sniping or Mines, and his autoattack is even potentially the longest range autoattack in the game. The trade off is having 0 stuns and a glass jaw. He'll always be one of the more fragile DGs. However, pair him up with, say, a general or a Rook with a tower garden, and if you use Mines effectively and don't get m
Yeah, it does easily occur on Mandala compared to other maps, simply because the portals are so far away from your citadel, and the defenses for your portals are so sparsely distributed. But also, Mandala is a 4 v 4 map. You're going to be too thinly spread out to easily respond to arising situations like this if you're only pl

I was about to say... I would think that Regulus would be the most effective cat to use a stat build on. But what to sacrifice then? Snipe? Mines? MotB? AF would seem to be virtually mandatory for such a build... I don't know if a Regulus lacking utility would be such a great guy to have on a team. It confuses me to no end when players die to assassins. I don't mean in gang up scenarios, i mean in general play. Assassins cannot compete with generals 1v1. The only way for assassins to kil

"Garuda" is a Hindu entity, namely the male vahana (mount, lit. "vehicle") for the god Vishnu. He's a bird man. Also, "a" in Sanskrit and the languages derived from it is the masculine ending for a word. Now, why would you name this female character after him? Also, these abilities are rather mundane and boring. There should be more creative use for her clone minion. I mean, they're suppose to be her clones . The only thing that ev

Slam has a long and very obvious casting animation. Are you playing against people that just aren't paying attention to the giant hammer being lofted above the Rook's head, or how do you get the DG's to stay still long enough to get hit/to run into your casting range at precisely the time the hammer hits the ground? You can use Boulder, but even still that requires you to not have Boulder miss while being close enough so that you have time to cast slam before the stun wears off a

The funny thing is that this is the strategy we used against the opponents in one map. However, it was our creeps (catas AND giants) from both of their portals attacking their citadel vs. 2 Rooks beating down on our citadel + however many of their catas made it through. The 2 Rooks won. I'm almost certain we had the same Structure Health upgrades, though that could've made a difference.

I honestly haven't been able to play a ton of games due to all the problems, but by and large I have had mostly positive experiences with the DG community. Unforunately, there will always be assholes on the Internet, as annonymity breeds mean behavior, but I think DG's community pretty good.
