Interesting idea, to be sure. It would definitely add something to the game, though I'm not sure if it would be adding something good :-P I mean, it definitely could be a viable idea that adds a little more strategy to the game.

A move that usually wins the game by itself. yup and this needs to be fixed cital upgrades should be there to assist the DG. in order to win it should be DGs.The best way to do this is have options before the game starts what upgrades are permited for both sides.
C'est tres domage ;_; J'espere pour un "fix" :P
To sum up the lessons learned in this thread: In order to not lose the game, don't let the opponents amass and spend their 18k+ gold faster than your team.
*Custom, dear. I thought you were talking about "costume" games at first; it took me a while to realize what you were talking about... Are both of you running the same version of Demigod? Maybe one of you has downloaded the beta patch and the other hasn't. If that's the case, then the one without the beta patch has to get the beta patch, or the one with the beta patch has to revert to the latest release patch.
Oh lol, let me try this too... though I will miss the sound ;_; http://forums.demigodthegame.com/348232

My CPU is 2.41 GHz, but I have 2 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA 8600 GE card with 1 GB of video RAM. Maybe my marginal CPU is throttling my PC's performance, but even still I'm surprised that DG is so CPU intensive...
Even if y

Thanks for letting me know. However, is it possible that only my average sim speed was 1, and that

There's little reason to post this. There will always, always , be bossy people in team games no matter what, and making a post like this on the forum does little aside from helping you blow off a little steam and souring the mood on here. I'm sorry that it happened to you, but please just move on. Most people in the community are not like this.
Stardock have the minimum and required specs, if people meet these then they should be able to run at a reasonable sim speed, even if the have put graphics quality right down.
Just wanted to point out that I do meet and even exceed the minimum requirements, and inexplicably I get low sim speed sometimes...
I have done this, and yet my sim speed is still quite low :/
So i found out Why destruction ALWAYS wins. Its because the game is just handing them wins.
Um .."destruction"? [e digicons]>_>[/e]
Even at the lowest settings, my sim speed is at best 4. If, say, both sides field catapaults and giants, it starts to go down to 1 or 0, and often desyncs occur as a result. Here are my PC's specs: 2.41 GHz AMD Athlon 64 dual core processor 2 GB Ram NVIDIA 8600 GE, 256 MB video RAM I have a dual display; could that be sucking up too much of my graphics card's resources? I also typically have a few programs running in the background, such as AIM and Fire

+speed "arms race," eh? So much for "Faster, Better, Cheaper"... now we're just going for faster. But at any rate, I may as well repeat that yes, everyone can just get the same speed items and make everyone's DG the same speed, but then they sacrifice all other kinds of bonuses for that speed which may ultimately be more beneficial. The real but implicit argument you're making here is that at essentially every level of gear and for every Demigod, improving speed

So no proxy servers yet? ;-; I mean, okay I understand... but it's disappointing since that means I can't play DG multiplayer at all, and people don't seem to be playing legitimate games on GameRanger anymore. I'm half tempted to torrent an pirated copy just so I can play the game :p
I don't know if it would screw the game up to include teleport scrolls in the artifact shop, but I think it should be at least considered if it hasn't been yet.

Well, Oak shouldn't be able to heal and restore mana by killing my creeps, minions, and allied DGs! He's the only one that can just stay up on the front lines forever! NUUURURRRRRF Also, if Regulus's Sniper Scope is OP, so are the Generals' siege minions which also outrange towers. The difference is that they are so tiny no one notices them?
