Very nice and I like Redneck Dude's suggestion.

This used to work but something happened a few months ago that caused the Chrome dock to act this way. I've talked to Stardock support without success.
Setting the sort order and choosing maintain sorting will prevent an icon from being moved. If you do accidentally drag it, it will snap back to its original position. If his order is unsorted however, my suggestion fails.
Slogan: "We repair what your spouse fixed."
Try setting a sort option and then choose "maintain sorting" options.
I have a problem with OD and the Start Menu as well, except the menu is half there and half not there. The right side is missing. The problem, still unsolved is related to WindowBlinds. Sorry, I don't have a solution.
I'm glad you found it.
Does the delay setting help?
I ran an Office repair which uninstalled everything (!), then reinstalled and things are working now. Thanks for everyone's input! [e digicons][/e]
The Excel link: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\EXCEL.EXE" BTW, launching from Fences also doesn't work. I'll open a ticket.
I installed Office 2013 today and find I'm unable to launch any of the applications from a dock. I tried a single shortcut, flyout folder dock and a standalone stacks dock. From the shortcuck dock or Flyout dock, the app highlights as if it's been selected but never launches. From the stack, it gives me an alert saying the .lnk file can't be found. From Explorer I'm able to launch the same shortcuts. I installed the 64 bit version, could that be the p
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate, OD+ 2.1 and latest WB. When I click the Start icon I get only half the start menu. The right half is cut off. This only happens when running a non-MS blind in WB. Sometimes, if the PC is slightly slow, I can see it actually paints the entire menu and then blanks the right side so it's completely transparent. I haven't found a Stardock or 3rd party blind that doesn't exhibit the problem. Reinstalling OD, WB and even WFx
It runs for me but changes the desktop to Windows 7 basic. [e digicons]>:([/e]
In installed and was hoping it solved my Start Menu problem -- the right side of the menu is always painted transparent when I click the OD+ icon.
Well that's good Wizard but off subject. We all know Windows is its own worst enemy when it comes to security. UCA may seem like a babysitter to you but it can be a lifesaver when surfing the web and some site tries to initiate a stealth drive-by download. My question was does anyone successfully run Object Dock on W& with UAC turned on?
I've been working With Stardock support on a number of issues related to OD2 + with W7 SP1. Several problems are related to UAC. WIth UAC turned on the Aero peek on docks doesn't work, neither does dragging and dropping an icon to create a new doc entry. It also refuses to start at boot time with UAC on. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I'd like to have UAC on at least for installs and system changes but the only way it will function properly is
Update: Turning off UAC fixed the Aero Peek, start at boot time and drag and drop problems. The Start Menu from the OD start icon is still only half formed. There seems to be a connection to WB8. The standard Aero sking works properly. ALso, when I invoke the Start menu from the OD start icon, it grabs a lot of CPU and holds it as long as I have the menu open.
I submitted a support ticket but have not yet received an answer. Yes, I installed as administrator and rebooted afterwards.
After installing W& and downloading OD+ 2.1 I am having problems. 1. Drag anmd drp to add a file to the dock isn't working. I get a circle and slash icon when I approach the dock. 2. My Google dock icon stopped working so I created a new one. It works one time and then stops working when I click it again. Second time it opens Chrome but it won't browse anywhere and doesn't give me a message. 3. Aero pee
WB problem is solved. For some reason the tray property for the WB icon was set to always hide. But now I have a new problem to report. Aero peek is not working with Object Dock. I tested without OD running and W7 is correctly showing the right image. Running OD the image is either completely black or transparent. I keep my running icons on the left side of my screen. When I hover them I only see the dock base, the rest is clea
Thanks. I'm using Object Doc 2+ so the tray icons aren't hidden. In case it was a problem with OD, I shut it down and checked the regular system tray. No icon. The option to show it is checked, it's not not showing it.
Ok I figured out how to delet a Fence. Only isse left is the WB tray icon.
I finally updated to Windows 7 and installed all the SD updates. I'm having two problems. I can't get WindowBlinds to show in the system tray and I am unable to find how to dekete a Fence. I thought I used to right-click the Fence to remove it.
Thanks for the explanation Neil. I guess I'll upgrade at least to 7. Too bad it's not heavily discounted now that 8 is the current OS.
