So, from your post here Frogboy I'm getting 2 messages. They are: 1) You love Fox News and have it running 24/7. You are staging a boycott of UPS and calling on all Stardock partners to do likewise. Fedex has solicited you directly for their business and are giving you a discount if you start using their services. 2) The release of Galactic Civilizations 3 is confirmed for August 2010. Correct me if I misread anything from your post.
This happens to me all the time when browsing the forums through Impulse which uses IE. It's pretty random on which threads it's going to happen on. When I browse through IE only (not Impulse) it happens there as well. When I switch over to Firefox and go to the actual website it works fine.
Your threat to "boycott" UPS because they pulled their ads from FoxNews is comical. I'm quite cerain UPS could care less about your "stance." And then, to say your upset because they "boycotted the whoe network." Well, you may have missed this, but the network hires that crackpot and gives him the space to spew his crap. Let me show you the total impact of your statemetn in terms that should be clear to you. "
Glenn Beck is the man. And O'Reilly is even better.
No, it means the rate at which they turn is faster. So if it took 1 second to turn from front to back before then it now takes less than 1 second (who knows how much less).
Actually, it means the rate at which they turn is slower since their speed is 'decreased'.
That's pretty much it in a nuthsell. It never ceases to amaze me how much time ends up being spent on paperwork rather than actually doing stuff and how much of that paperwork is largely wasted time.
I have the EXACT sentiments about Project Management and Change Management. As a developer, I hate 'em.
So far Ill Ive heard out of most of you is why diplomacy is good, but not one of you have said why its going to be good.
You need to reread the thread. Also, read all of the threads regarding Diplomacy on the forums. Why it is good, even in multiplayer, has been addressed many times.
The old Turn based games like Master of Orion had diplomacy
Like this one will
not sure if even many of you even played that game

This is mainly concerned with single player as I would imagine losing the first 3 or 4 straight fights in multiplayer means you're up against a better team. I just had a terrible single player/hard game where not one AI on my team (4x4) got a single kill. Of course, the uber UB was leading the other team with 50% more kills than anyone else, but that's another question. What I am wondering is, what should I do if the AI loses the first several figh
I bought ultimate edition thinking this game would finally have multiplayer. I just want to play at home with some friends. I do the same with civ 4. why is there no muliplayer? will there ever be? It will sit on the shelf until there is .
You wasted your money then. It will never have multiplayer.
not really. and btw how am i being ridonculous
Maybe because it's not directed by Peter Jackson at all. It's directed by Neill Blomkamp. Produced by Jackson.
If you're a horse, and someone gets on you, and falls off, and then gets right back on you, I think you should buck him off right away.
Why anyone would pay into such a restrictive licensing / adware-based installer scheme is beyond me
This statement makes it clear that you really don't know what the Impulse client is or does. But glad you got everything worked out.
Uh yeah thats why shooters who are much more sensible to lag than rts´es use client server. If you want performance you go client/server no way around it. Cause with p2p you never know what hardware and what services the players are using and one running bittorrent download on some retard´s machine ruins the game for everyone involved while it would only screw up the game for the retard in the client/server model. To clean install or upgrade? That is the question. I have an MSDN subscription through my work so this weekend I downloaded the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit RTM. I own an ASUS G50vt gaming laptop. My wife owns an HP dv123 (or whatever the model is; can't remember). Both of them were running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I was debating whether or not to upgrade or do a clean install. I have a LOT of games on my laptop and my wife has a LOT of pictures and email add
Thomas Covenant series: Donaldson How in the name of anything can you call that good. I read the first 6 books and its just dragging along. It has no story to speak of, just scenes tacked together. Not one single person in this book is in any way believable.
To each his own I guess. I absolutely love the Covenant series.
My friend sent me a link to the one stats page where it shows the demigod with the highest win percentage was the unclean beast.
That in no way means that Unclean Beast is overpowered. Easy to play maybe but not overpowered.
@Nesrie, Are you responding to my comments or the comments made by Hortz? Because if you're responding to my comments then you need to take a look at the graphics that Zork employed. Basically, take this text I am typing now, place it on a white (or black) background and there you have it. It was completely text-based. And yet it sold more than 400,000 copies. Which was phenomenal back then. So, basically, my post was complete sarcasm responding to Hortz's post (which is
Not sure how hard this would be to implement or if it's already in but I think some good voice acting would be a nice touch. We didn't get any in the GalCiv games and it made for a rather 'quiet' game in which you really felt the 'emptiness' of space. I hate to compare games when a company is making a game because they should always aim to 'make it their own' but I have to mention Anno 1404: Dawn of Discovery. That game has done soooooo many things right when it comes to the singlepla
In that case, you just might find that there are a whole slew of updates to Sins you've been missing out on. Depending on when you first installed it.
Well, you have Impulse right? Just install Impulse on the new computer and download it from there. You don't have to purchase the game again.
It will all come down to the quality of animations, how detailed and fluid they are and if the unit is upgraded(class or spell wise) will it have new upgraded animation and other effects concurrent with every upgrade, like lighting and such(Diablo 3 is a good example here). Animation is different from graphics, for example Resident Evil 4 has poor graphics for today's standards but it has such excellent animations that surpass even today's
That Dance4Life guy is the same one listed in the Hall of Shame in the final few posts. Seems to be trying to beat the system anyway possible.
