when everyone in the game knows the outcome of the game, WHY WASTE 20MINS TRYING TO PUSH TO THE ENEMY CITADEL? even when your winning its a massive waste of time.
There's a key difference. If everyone knows the outcome of the game then the losing team can concede, and probably will. That's fine! (*blink tag here*) Then there's the more common case - if YOU are the only one who "knows" the outcome of the game. You don'
What is your proposed scheme to avoid one person lagging a game because their machine can't run the game?
The person with the crappy machine should get the slideshow by dropping frames and having a delay thrown on their actions, everyone else is fine. Not the other way around. I know it's much more complicated behind the scenes but there should be a minimum standard for normal play and if you can't meet it then YOUR performance is degraded, not everyone else
But now you've just nullified all of your rage quitting propaganda
In case you haven't noticed - the original post is parody and not serious in any way. I do not quit as soon as my team gets 5-0 because that is just stupid. Just as stupid as quitting if your team was 0-5.
Now you're just being silly. I don't know anyone who thinks playing a hopeless game is entertaining. A game is fun only if you have a chance at winning. Games cease

The OP sounds like someone who played a lot of Dota, and is completely right. We have experience with these kind of things. Banlists are definitely needed, or at the least some kind of ignore list. Demigod has neither.
By the way, I banned you for being an immature moron. Don't worry, you won't be the first person to be banned just because someone is a huge dick. See what I mean? Banlist is completely stupid. Someone can be perfectly competent, and maybe his

Define "ridiculous" amount of damage - how much was he actually doing per hit? At level 1 it should be under 200 base to heroes, but he could buff it by picking up a damage favor item and a perhaps the starting +25 dmg gauntlets. It says how much they do over your head when they hit you, so you should be able to tell us how much he was doing.
Why the hell is there two threads, pretty much completely identical?

Seriously? An autoquit for 0-5 players?

Lol, I agree..Wtf this dude constantly complained about rage quitters and he;s a quitter. Some fuzzin hypocrits we got on here!

Why don't you quit when you're up 5-0 and when you state you quit when you lose 0-5? Think about it and it's probably the same reason.
You guys need to read

Chasing a moving Demigod also has some problems. Consider this situation. ^ You When you target the enemy your character will begin moving towards where they currently are, but doesn't
Why we are even arguing about it is beyond me. Disconnect = disconnect. Leave/Quit = loss
Well, not exactly. Disconnect/Leave/Quit = disconnect Concede = Concede Both also count as losses. You can't split actual disconnects from leaving because if you do anyone who leaves will just plug pull instead of leaving normally. They have to be counted as the same thing.
You must have misquoted because my point was the human brain is programmed to reward behavior that results in positive outcomes
And I'm saying that even were that true, what defines "positive outcomes" are learned. It's an arbitrary game - it holds absolutely no consequences regarding your survival. Whether you view "winning" in that game as the desired outcome was completely learned. People told you that you want to win.
Most people hav
People who feel compelled to blindly impose their own morality on others.
There is nothing blind about it. There are numerous compelling reasons why ruining games is wrong.
And you'd be wrong.
Maybe you didn't shake hands with the other little league baseball team after the game, but many of us did. A good game is good no matter the outcome. You can have an epic game and still lose.
Here's a pro tip. It's h
It's all relative to me. I quit when it's clear we're gonna lose and it's gonna take long enough that I'm not willing to waste that much time taking the beating.
But you're willing to waste that much time giving the beating? Where's the logic in that?
Yeah why wouldn't I...if I had to take a phonecall, or answer the door, or go to the toilet, or do any number of things I would either be AFK and useless or leave if I was going to be away for a while. I'd tell people where I was going first.
That's different than leaving because you are losing. Kinda sad that you'd leave a game because of a phone call (I'm in the middle of something, call you back in a bit) or because you need to use the bathroom (you didn't pee
Yes, it gets boring winning over and over, but that doesn't feel as bad as losing over and over.
I don't feel bad losing most games. The fun is in the challenge, not the outcome.
You may not be willing to admit it, but most humans are instinctually programmed to have a good feeling when they succeed at something and a bad feeling when they fail.
Actually I'd say this is learned behavior.
That's nice. Your anti rage-quit campaign has now reached the point of nuisance.
You play games you know you're going to win? What a waste of time! I don't have time to play games I already know the outcome...I have things to do!

Most of my crashes happen in 3 places: 1. In the lobby, an unhandled exception appears behind the game. Sometimes you don't even know it's there because the game doesn't die right away and you can even still chat with people. Usually I say "Unhandled exception, brb" then let the game die, restart it and rejoin the same game. Works the next time! Happens maybe 10% of the time I join a lobby 2. Simply attempting to join a game may lead to complete freezin

There are just too many bad pugs. I've decided that a 5-0 kill rule is autoquit. If the combined team is 5-0 before they get a single kill, i leave 100% of games. These games are simply too winnable.
Things like AI tweaks and reduced gold from AI controlled players would be workable changes within the current system.
The AI is inherently uncontrollable.
Deadeye - That's per normal shot. So if you fire every .5 seconds like some Regs do, then you've got a pretty good chance of stunning your target within 10 shots. The stun functions more like an interupt than a stun, thats why its only 0.3 seconds.
It's still a pathetic rate of activation, and the amount of time you are affected by it is nothing.
