So you've identified the real problems and you still support this solution?
Of course I support the better solution - leaver's gold should be distributed to everyone else, you should get control of their hero and all future gold they get should be redistributed too. They've said they can't do this currently. And look at the game interface - it's clearly not going to work right now. So I think the leaver hero should just be gone period, no AI. D
while Circle of Fire is excellent against towers, creeps and area denial.
I meant vs Ice Rain.
Every other RTS out there lets you quit whenever you want - it's called taking a loss.
In many other RTS' out there you gain control of the units and resources of people on your team who leave. In Dota you got their hero and a share of their money. In Demigod you get screwed. That's why one leaver kills the game, usually.
kinda like demigod multiplayer
...Nice.
You have to get your thumb pointed directly at the ground. It does get painful.
Once I had a chasing Oak chase me past the towers and to the portal where we fought to the death. The portal flag had gone to yellow. I contemplated leaving it like that. Only one lane of creeps would be coming then. Exp -50%
But, if you look real close at the Yetis, they look really cool
Well yeah, they live in the snow, of course they'll look cool. It's cold up there.
This happens to me too. "Freezes the game" is a bit of a misnomer - it just makes the game completely unresponsive for a people of time. Logging in causes this to happen nearly every time. Leaving a game while in the lobby often locks the game for 10-20 seconds. And so on and so forth.
picture was previously posted flipped vertically..
That person's arm must really hurt twisting like that.
You only need to play like 3 games to have enough for the swift anklet and that's the best most of the time. Heaven's Wrath and Staff of Renewal are the other 2 good ones and those are assassin only.
I would say past 1 point, his range skill is much more useless than this. You only need one point to out-range towers, anything else is a waste.
You need 3 points to outrange fortresses, I believe. Matters pretty much only in fortress mode, but still.
Additionally, you're obsessing over this too much. Sure she has great survivability spamming shield on herself, but can she kill you? No, she's doing crap damage back (QoT autoattack is pretty weak) So you're basically healing her damage back with bite and she's absorbing your damage with shield. Not seeing an issue here.
Maybe, but if the original host is the person who leaves the game then a server split is nearly guaranteed. (Doesn't happen often because the host is the one least likely to quit) Now there's at least 2 games going and the original host isn't in either of them.
The top of the 2 minion abilities for Erebus. Never gotten it, EVER. At least the other one increases the number you can have. Uproot is another good one, at least at levels 1 and 2. I'd also say Circle of Fire but I see far too many people getting it......
Well you do more than 200 per hit with armor, and I'm not sure if shield absorb is armor reduced, so yeah, you'll break the shield just about with auto attack damage alone.
I think you forgot to take into account what happens when you right click on the enemy hero.
It's what we call a "server split." Because the game is handled P2P each person can "think" everyone has left the game and can keep running it on their own. So you could have half the people in one game and half the people in another after a split. If a server split occurs the game is basically over. Not only can you not be sure you're in the "real" game, but it probably won't count for anything but a loss on your record anyways. Or this happens: ht
Incorrect. Simspeed is how fast you can run the game. 0 is basic speed, sim speed 3 is double speed, 6 is 4 times speed, etc. Usually you play at normal speed anyway (default settings) so 0 and anything above is fine.
They can say that's what sim speed really means, but anytime someone has a sim speed under 3 the game starts chugging for everyone. It doesn't need to be negative, it just needs to be low. It's so obvious too, because if they leave th
Game starts in cataract They walk to the middle and stand next to the exp flag. Enemy heroes approach. They begin autoattacking the enemy. And stand there. Enemy heroes rape them. We have first blood. Happened more times than I'd care to admit.
Personally I think the cooldown on flag locks should be 90 seconds. They're a bit too strong as of now. Problem solved.
C/C++ don't really care if you go off the end of the array. Hence, buffer overflows.
It does care if you follow pointers and there's nothing there. Or to memory you shouldn't be touching. Or memory that doesn't exist. There are far too many game crashing problems with this game. You try to join a custom game and you get your first gamble - will the connection information even be retrieved? If not, you quit the game and try again.&nb
I think what you are doing will be a good implementation. However, to make it work you will need to fix the innumerable ways the game can crash, disconnect, server split and the like so as to not place false disconnects on people's records. If you went live with the system today everyone would have a fairly high percentage (with the real leavers having it even higher, but still).
You, good sir, have not met some of my DotA friends [e digicons][/e] "Zomg, this game is so fucking stupid, none of you are helping!!! *RQ*"
With "friends" like those....
