1) That was the first thought that occurred to me, too. 6) What do you expect? Prima Donnas like Katie Couric know that boobs like us out in the heartland are so ignorant that we don't know what a centaur is. They have to explain everything to us. That's why they get paid so much. ~SDC~

Never having played MoM before seeing the forum items here about it, I downloaded the game and have been playing it under dosbox for the last couple of weeks. I have to say that despite the crappy dos graphics it's a fun game. I'd definitely buy a Startdock remake. I understand Brad's business analysis of the costs of the license and the effects on the econonomics of developing the game. But on the other hand, could one not point out to the owners of the license that they aren't maki

Are there plans to support any international relations options other than "Global Peace", "International Tensions", and "Global War"? Seems like there should be other shades of gray there ;) ~SDC~

The tops of the exploded views of Vermont and New Hampshire are a little too high on the screen. I put a spin doctor into New Hampshire and he essentially disappeared from the screen, he was standing in the extreme north of the state, which itself was off the screen. I had to tab around all of my assets to find him. ~SDC~

As far as I can tell there's not a whole lot of information about PM available. There's hardly any help that comes with the game, you have to go to http://www.politicalmachine.com to get any useful help. I hope that the released version includes the information on that web site. ~SDC~

Finally managed to finish a game (on Cakewalk). I thought it was a lot of fun, but did get annoyed at times trying to pixel hunt to grab the operative I wanted. It wasn't until I finished the game that I remembered that there's a key (tab?) that will cycle around your operatives. I never would have had a clue how the play the game if I hadn't found www.politcalmachine.com. After I finished I discovered that the main intro screen had a "Load last autosave" button, so maybe t

I downloaded the 0.99[rc].015 level of the game, and I'm not having any technical dificulties (i.e. no crashes). But I do need some gameplay advice. Somewhere on the help I saw a hint that I should "bank" a candidate's unused stamina at the end of a turn. But I can't find any way to do that. Is that feature implemented yet?

Be careful about Brin. The first 3 of the Uplift series are really good, but it rapidly goes downhill from there. Some of my favorites from the 60s and 70s are Roger Zelazny (particularly Lord of Light) and John Brunner (Stand on Zanzibar, The Sheep Look Up), and Frank Herbert (Dune, but there again the series goes downhill as it goes on). CJ Cherryh is pretty good, too. She can write some awesome aliens. She does both SF and fantasy, and at her best is fantastic, but has some whe
Well, don't forget that this party can't really sustain a war and have experienced ships
Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. My point was that you while you certainly want to avoid war with this party, you can't always avoid combat. Stocking up on some AMMs is a good strategy. ~SDC~
