Got another CTD.
Got this CTD. It happened just after a message about Alterian freighter arriving.
Restarted from the last autosave, but could not reproduce the CTD. Sorry, I wanted to have a saved game to send you, but no such luck. ~SDC~

I reported a problem like this to Cari and sent her a saved game. If you click on the stalled minifreighters, what do they say? In my case they were all mixed up; a minifreghter stalled next to system A, for example, said it was travelling between systems B and C, which were all the way across the map. ~SDC~

I've been playing since the original beta, and I've never seen the Dreginol or the Dark Arnor. Are they totally random, or is their appearance dependent on good/evil alignment or some other factor? ~SDC~

Yeah, the AIs surrendering to someone else sometimes p*sses me off. In the last Gigantic game I played, I attacked the Arceans, who surrendered to the Altarians as soon as I had taken one system from them. Since I was very powerful at that point, I went ahead and attacked the Altarians. As soon as I had take all the old Arcean systems from the Altarians, they surrendered to the Torians. I attacked the Torians, and they eventually surrendered to the Yor (even though the Yor were chaotic evil

While trying to trade techs with the Torians I got a CTD: Stardock SmartException Logging Information ------------------------------------------- OS Version : Windows XP Video Card : RADEON 9200 Application Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION Crash Addr: 3001C1BB 02:0000D1BB D:\Stardock\galciv\binkw32.dll Processor Registers (x86): EAX:00000000 EBX:136D0FFF ECX:0000000C EDX:00000000 ESI:0000001D EDI:FFF157D1 CS:EIP:001

In my latest GC 1.2 game, I have 9 trade routes. On the Trade tab of the domestic policy screen, 5 of these are listed as "N/A" under the "Value" column, and as 0/nn under the "Turns" column. They've been this way for several turns. If I click on the minifreighters that seem to be misbehaving, I get descriptions of them that seem to indicate that the routes are mixed up. For example, the minifreighter that's parked right next to Sol, and hasn't moved for a few turns, says that it's enroute f

I don't play that many games as evil, but in the two that I have where I got hit by the fundy event, it was my systems with low morale that flipped. I haven't tried evil since upgrading to GC 1.2, so I suppose it's possible it changed. ~SDC~

The fundy event in my last game completely wiped out the Yor. Didn't help me much, though, since the Torians were about to take over their last 4 systems anyway, and it took me a long time to spread my "goodness" around the galaxy by conquering all the other majors. ;) Seriously, I just view it as another incentive to get the morale boosting techs and improvements when you're playing evil. I agree that it shouldn't take out all the human player's systems. ~SDC~

You asked for questions about mods, so here goes. The only mod I've tried is CariElf's min colony ship. I've heard that some mods unbalance the game enough so that scores are not elegible for the metaverse. Is that correct? If so, are these mods allowed in the library? Is there some indication that these mods will disallow your scores? Thanks. ~SDC~
After invading and taking over a system from the Arceans, I noticed on the next turn that there was an Arcean mini-freighter next to my new system. Without thinking about it, I destroyed it. On the next turn there was another one. I destroyed it also, and then it occurred to me that the mini-freighter was from an Arcean trade route that originated at my new system, and had not been terminated by my invasion. Unfortunately I don't have a saved game to demonstrate it. Has this been reported
It might. That sounds slightly different than the last mini freighter crash that I squished. Mini freighters aren't supposed to take damage, they're supposed to just die. Go ahead and send it to me and I'll look at it as soon as possible. But if you use any mods, I'll need those mods also so that I can load the game.
I sent you the saved game. The only mod I was using was the mini colony ship. I verified that the saved game still exhibits the crash when the mini-frei

Got this CTD when I clicked on what looked to be a mini-freighter with the damage animation going ... I should be able to send in a saved game if it would do any good.
