In this way game developers are like public school teachers. No matter how bad the kids turn out or what they are caught doing they never get demoted to office clerk or recess attendant. I dont need internet folklore. I judge Jon Shafer on what Jon Shafer says and does. Jon Shafer said things that turned out to be misleading and false about civ 5 pre-release. Jon Shafer did zip for customers who bought a game he recommended that was c

This game is definitely right up my alley. I have been waiting a long time for a game like this. [e digicons] I love the time period and your new game concepts seem very intriguing. I wasn't thrilled with Civilization 5 TBH (still don't like it) but I am very excited about this one. I'll be contributing to Kickstarter for sure. The only question is how much. :P
To my knowledge, no game has tackled this very interesting time in western civilization. Great Invasions was one such game. Brought to you by the man who made the original Europa Universalis. :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Invasions However, the era has been sadly neglected by game makers and I'm actually thrilled to see Jon taking this on. I love this period of time, I like the new game eleme
Quoting Lord Xia, reply 22This game needs more robots. And steam tanks... can never go wrong with some steam-punk. (Or "Steam-Punkers"... ) ~ Kongdej
There's already too much "Steam" in the game. [e digicons]x_x[/e]
Sounded awesome until I saw the Steam demandment. [e digicons]x_x[/e]
The new changes sound great except for Steam only. Paradox has announced that any new games of theirs will require Steam as well so that includes the upcoming Eu4. :( Not to mention Civilization 5. *Ugh* I'll be getting Legendary Heroes for free but I doubt I'll play it due to the Steam demandment. Pity...
Keep improving Fallen Enchantress. For starters, I'd like to see docks, fishing boats and naval things. :)
I voted faction differentiation but City management was my second equal choice.
Some very encouraging news. More homage to FFH is great news in my opinion. I love the little animated dudes in the city. I know it's really just eye candy but it helps bring the world to life for me. Can't wait for the next beta. :)

I miss the old DOS AD&D games I played when I was young...
Hmm...I'd have to think about that. As far as semi historical based RPGs, there isn't much. Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader could have been great but it looks like they ran out of money after the first act. Oh what could have been. :( &nbs
1) Tomorrow, if it doesn't get delayed apparently. 2) Whenever the game becomes polished enough that Beta2 comes out. 3) ???
3 = Elementalham. Mmmmm...ham. [e digicons]:grin:[/e]
Well, we must be playing different MoMs then, because I sincerely do not feel the way you guys feel about this game. First, let's establish that v1.4 (insectidice) is a non-developer mod and thus cannot truly be considered part of the game for review's sake. Would you review Civ4 more favorably with FFH2? M&B:W with Floris? E:WoM with heavenfall's mod?
The first point is something that doesn't bother me that much. The world should be harsh and unforgiving. The second point, I totally agree with. It is very frustrating to have that happen.
Good post by the Op. People tend to view MoM through rose colored glasses. Bad AI, steamroller Hero stacks and other such flaws. MoM was far from perfect. I happen to like FE's tactical battles. They remind me greatly of MoM's and once the AI is up to snuff, it'll blow them away. What I would like to see in FE to make it more like MoM would be creatures that guard shards. Like a Fire Elemental guarding a fire sha
Adding more options with roads would be good. I'd like to be able to build roads to outposts as well as to any natural defence barriers.. Also, making them a little more visible would be helpful.
Very good post by the Op and I agree with most everything. I also appreciate people who know how to post constructive criticisms of the game and do it in a helpful manner. This is good: 4) Magic. I absolutely DO NOT like ditching the spell research. AT ALL. That was one of my primary focuses in EWOM... and it worked. I did not like, however, how any hero at a certain level could cast any spell that you

Pretty much all games start off with only potential - I don't think there are very many games that are great right off the bat, very first iteration. And there are still up to 22 more versions of FE before the release v1.00. However if we give up on it now, guess what? The potenti
I like the research tree. Although it could use some tinkering, to cut it out entirely is unwise IMO.
Nice work Stardock. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
People have a right to criticize the game, I agree. It's very important not to be sycophantic and to give constructive criticism. However, that does not give you the right to be an a-hole. Some people *cough* *cough*need to know the difference apparently. I find the game quite fun to be honest. Certain areas do need some sprucing up, though. City building for one. It's a work in progress.
I feel a little green around the gills. The game is getting to me! [e digicons]8C[/e]
Maul is fine IMO. Frogboy said they found some error in the code and with -4 accuracy after each attack it should be managable. Personally, I see nothing wrong with heroes getting mauled by cave bears. Roughed me up pretty good. Lol.
Ahhh...I see it listed in my account now. [e digicons][/e] You guys rule. ^^ I can't play now though. I have to bake some cookies. :P
Check your Stardock accounts to see if the game is there anyway. Plenty of folks last week, including myself, didn't get an email, but got the game the same time as everyone else. Look under my account/my downloads on the Stardock web site. I don't know if it's the same situation, but it couldn't hurt to check.
Checked there already. All I
I didn't receive an e-mail either. [e digicons] I'll contact support, I guess.
