Much better performance for me as well on my laptop. :) It's a very good first patch. I love seeing the Fire Elemental armies roam around. I just wish that they gave fire elementally units rather than elite archers. :P
Other potential shard related bug; units can't move onto an unimproved shard and likewise can't move off if they destroy the improvement/shard after moving onto an improved one. I've seen Lieutenants apparently stuck after destroying shards, still not attack-able.
Yeah, I've seen that as well. Hopefully that will get looked at pronto.
Is the bug where units on Shards can't be attacked fixed? I assume its a bug, scanned the list couldn't see anything related.
I do hope so. That is pretty annoying. That and not being able to obtain the key from a Lootenant if it is killed by an outpost. It should drop to the ground and form a treasure chest or something like that. Or perhaps it gets spirited away by some minion and you have

I do hope that you'll be able to obtain different crafting materials from them. Either through quests or perhaps through trading. If they are allied with you and are seeking out SK Strongholds and units then there will be less things for you to fight and obtain crafting materials from.

I have noticed that a lone 4 hit point urxen yields a tremendous amount of experience. :P I played a game on beginner and wiped one out with my huge army. My champions each got 77 xp and my trained units got a lot too. This was definitely repeatable as I hunted down lone urxen multiple times for huge exp. Then I played a game on insane and took down the fire lootenant dude and only received 20 xp for my champions and 10 xp for my trained units. That was a
Sure. In particular, I know unit variety is quite low and enemy AI is probably rudimentary. However, I don't know if this will translate to new units being more interesting - as is, I feel one is best and spam it, and the differences between the units I can build feels pretty minimal. Additionally, current economy / game rules encourage me to spam units up to cap and sacrifice them, instead of carefully leveling them up. This would be fi

I think a preamble referencing why you must not join the SK would be nice. Let's say a wise old sage informs you that the SK, upon destroying all the shards, will cast the spell that allows him to obtain godhood but this will mean all life on the planet Elemental will be utterly destroyed. So working with him will just mean certain death.
I'm fairly sure that they do lose attack effectiveness when they lose members of the unit. Not sure what happens if you have a unit that is showing two members and then heal it back up to 3 - currently it doesn't update the graphic, but it may still update the number of members of the unit still functioning.
There is a bug that I have seen. If I have a unit of pikeman, let's say, and th

I must concur. More global life would be help make the world feel more alive. Maybe the occasional rabbit loping around or a fox or deer peaking out of the woods. Crabs on the beach or schools of fish swimming around, a whale surfacing or maybe some seabirds flying around above the ocean. Some lizards in the desert or some antelope/mountain goats in the mountain would be nice. I really like the birds flying around and I especially love the leave
Blizzard spell or scroll (or sometimes Fireball if they are close together) is good for taking out those Trog Archers, but you need troops or heroes fast enough to get a turn first!
I found later in the game that I almost had to automatically lead off with a blizzard or a flame wave or I'd lose a unit to Trog Archers. Usually I'd end up having Tandis or a unit equipped with a ring of haste (horseman work well)
I would love to see if maps labeled regions a la Alpha Centauri. For example, "Sherwood Forest" or "Misty Mountains" or something like that. If the map generator would not do it, is it possible to give the player the ability to "write" on the map? I feel this would help with immersion. After all, naming anything is quite powerful. If we can name units and cities, why not locations or areas?
Yeah, t

On the other hand, trained units are spammy and boring, and enemy uses a very limited variety of tactics and troops. You realize this is an early beta build, right?

I like them all to be honest but Mountain Pass and Oasis are my favourites. Tarth, I like the least, though, as the resources are so scarce. This is not a bad thing, however, as it makes it very challenging. That being said, it would be nice to maybe have a little blurb about each map before selecting it. As in, this map has scarce resources or something like that so one can make a more informed decision.
I'd love to see the minors in all of their glory!
Yeah, I agree. MOAR on the minor factions plz. Speaking of minors, I see the graphics for the minor faction's building are really good. :) However, they seem artistically a lot different from your outposts or your cities, IMHO. I'd prefer if the artwork was more consistent, to be honest. Make every
