You have made some valid points but the replayability I have experienced is the combo of mods and a random map generator in a single player mode. You don't need an infinite number of scenarios shipped with the game if they can be manufactured as needed. Also if a game you love becomes a little stale you walk away from it for awhile and come back when it feels like an old friend you have mistreated with your absence. Y

I do know that ashes is a complete different game when you compare it to starcraft. But Ashes and supcom are going in the same direction. I like both types of rts games (i mean starcraft and games like supcom which are more macro orint

It can simply not be the case that a win or a lose is decided if your defense is willing or not to attack your opponent ... Grand campaigns provide so much more gameplay than a tailored campaign. I've played through Starcraft II's campaigns twice each (Haven't got LotV yet though). I've played through Dawn of War's... Gosh, dozens at least. A grand campaign just has so many moving par

@The Devs, I know it might sound lame but i would like to say i appreciate the small patch sizes. I play a lot of different games, and some of them end up with patches of up to 4GB, just for balance! Even Starcraft balance patches were rarely as small as Escalation balance patches. I really like that i dont need to plan my internet around Escalation updates. So, thanks!

There's definitely macro in it but TAG Utter's examples are things you'd see used quite frequently in matches. There's lots of other uses of micro in the game. Ashes in comparison nearly plays itself. You are 100% correct in saying Starcraft has much more micro, FA is probably somewhe
The APM requirements are not very demanding. Maybe more than Sins of a Solar Empire but still less than most other RTS games. There is some micro in using air, workers, the Avatar but once you can manage the basic APM requirements, the skill differential comes about in balancing eco and military growth as efficiently as possible, having the right combinations of things in the right place at the right time (with good scouting helping you), and use

Lots of high ranked players micro some of the units to get quite an advantage, dodge attacks from a unit etc.... Overall it is a macro game but it's unique in that macro and micro are integral parts of it.
yeah totally, there will almost always be aspects of micro or macro in games that are focused on the opposite, but by no means is FA focused on micro wh

Which was hilarious since it only had two sides with lots of similarities and some really unique units thrown into the mix. His list may not be worth much to the typical RTS player(he needs to get out more if he really thinks those are the only good ones), but CNC ran off it's atmosphere, gameplay wise it wasn't much different from anything else.&

u list 5 games. u say one is not ur cup of tea. 3 are tactically focused. 1 is strategically focussed. that makes it 1 out of the 5 games that are good according to u is strategically focussed. ONE out of FIVE. long time supported? ROFL. supcom is community supported. if u want to think like that then what about COH? AOE? if the CNC series was such garbage why was it so popular? ive played a ton of SC myself, and for the builk of players it comes down to mainly cheese
