Those changes are definitely needed! Very nice! I think Ashes needs upgradeable orbitals too. When you get in late game, your orbitals have nearly no effect at all. For example the Intensive Care orbital seems to heal a defined amount of health, which is less effective the more HP your units have. In this case the solution could even be to make Intensive Care regenerate %maxhealth per second instead of regenerating a fixed amount of

Thanks! Will have a look
firstly, thanks again for the gracious gesture. i appreciate it. next, isnt this thread a giant rheotorical question? u know escalation is directed at "hard core" RTS gamers.. and who are the majority of the players that come to these forums... so why would u ask the group of players, that escalation is directed at, which of the 2 is better? if u had asked this on steam (im assuming u have) this would make sense, but it does not make sense being asked on a forum that predominantly consists of
i know some times the game does kick u to the lobby when it finds a match. it happens to both players. but maybe ur right about people quitting as well. but when chatting to my friends when we both get matched, sometimes it will kick both of us to the lobby.. that wait time is an average. so if ur higher rank and waiting for a match u will most likely wait longer than the average if there arent higher rank players online, whereas a lower rank player might be matched faster. is its an
SS and PHC both have orbital block, both have hard to control units, both can pump tech and huge armies. as i ssaid in myy previous post, PHC eco is actually better than SS.thanks to refinieries being built by engineers, u have a faster growing economy than SS. Fantastic! This all sounds very good! As always I'm excited about the future of the game, and looking forward to the juggernauts, naval combat and the 3rd episode. The release of the free escalation keys (thanks for that!) will surely bring some new players to escalation in the meantime. (even if the community chooses ashes over escalation in the long run)
Yeah ive seen this as well
cool, but thats 4am this side, so no europeans it seems :D
Also the army unit counters in the middle of the UI are hard to see, i propose you can do away with them and simply put the numbers next to where you order units for the army but have the incoming units as + , eg 5+4 etc . This would be cleaner and be a lot easier to see at a glance what you have also.
+1 on this and I also appreciate the patch, really liking the balancing so far! thanks!
yeah as ticktoc said, if u had so many dreads the AI would have a lot of quanta upgrades. u can also check in the score screen, scroll across to the economy page i think it is. it will show u how much quanta was invested, and u can work out (+/-) from that what level the enemy was on. i develop dreads quite quickly, and by the time i have 4 dreads, im surely on higher than 4/3.. the promethius alone should have contested the enemy hyperion at least. if u were on similar quanta
that will be a unique thing ur asking for... how many strategy games can u do this with? one? maybe ur asking for a little too much.. would be great to have though!
really nice!!! you released it without Harbinger shields increased from 600 to 4000 (designed to be an incredibly resilient air unit)
at least it was released! :D im sure more balance will follow.. so no worries
for sure guys.. either way it had the desired effect on the individual to whom it was directed. tony, and who ever else reads this, is hopefully made aware of how annoying this issue is. since it seems i need to explain this: when dealing with a player who abuses an ingame mechanic to get ahead, there are a number of ways of dealing with the issue: 1. balance the issue out (taking forever since u guys inadvertently voted for it) 2. group together and convince the playe
for those of u who havent faced this poor rabbit, this is his single and only tactic in every single ranked match: spam bombers, snipe enemy HQ... this is good for the community? it attracts players? it helps grows the community? if he was new, or inexperienced i wouldnt flame him, but he has over 300 hrs in escalation. do u think he knows better? of course he does, but he chooses winning over all else..
double post :D
firstly ur showing me a match from vanilla? we are discussing ESCALATION. next i NEVER said im NOT a newbie... but since u seem to think thats what i was arguing about, let me fill u in on where i stand prestige rank 19, 57 dread kills in 30 hrs of ranked play... and 140 hrs game time across both games.. meaning i have the highest ranked dread kills to game time.. so while there are players in the ladder that have
the problem is they introduced the artillery, which is too imbalance... however they a conviced that the most people like such units/buildings due to they dont nerf the turret... and now substrate needs something against the abillity "shoot on radar contact"... substrate has just a few units which can shoot without vision My opinion is get rid of this turret... or at least halve the range of this t
I agree the arty needs some nerfs, either range, AOE damage, accuracy, rate of fire, etc. even if it was only more expensive it would still be so effective, u don't need many to destroy an attacking army before they can get in range.. so if it kept its strength than it should become A LOT more expensive, like 5-6 times more.. I agree the caregiver needs a buff, units die so quickly, that the medic is actually A LOT more effective, it doesn't help if u are repairing the entire
Am I the only one not concerned about radar jamming? We had that in Supreme Commander, and it worked fine - just get a visual confirmation through a scout. If anything, I'd like to see more radar jamming for bases to use.
lots of people are asking for jammers bro, I think if anything theres fewer people asking NOT to have jammers..
Brad, I don't know if you realized this or not, but some of us purchased the DLC maps once Escalation was announced with no intention of ever playing them in Ashes Vanilla.
they already said like 2 weeks ago (or more) that those DLC's are carrying across... and they are busy working on it.. if u did some research u wouldnt need so much venom ;)
Looks awesome! Very excited to see them in action! Also dont mind that certain units might not see ranked play, at least we will have them to use at some point :)
