TG.Net subscribers should probably have access as well. I'm not sure how it checks to see if you have access. If it's a registry thing, your profile isn't showing me your serial number, so maybe you should go into SDCentral and re-enter your info under the Tools->Register Products to make sure that it can pick it up.

jmgarth, I've already fixed this crash and we will probably be putting up a fix this afternoon.
There is a crash in 1.22 and 1.52 caused by trade routes which I've fixed. I think that we're going to put up another update this afternoon unless we decide to give it another day for people to report bugs.
Not in the first release, but we've talked about doing a multiplayer expansion pack.
Yes they are safe. When in doubt, use the archive feature of SDC. :)
Please run dxdiag and send the report to me along with your debug.err file from the Political Machine installation folder to me at Here are instructions for running dxdiag in case you need them: 1) Click on your windows start button 2) Click on Run 3) type the word dxdiag in the dialog box and click OK. 4) Allow it to check to see if your drivers are digitally signed, let it run its tests 5) Click S
That means that you don't have DirectX 9 installed. You need at least DirectX 9.0b, which comes on the retail CD, in order for it to work.
Please e-mail
My game freezes right after intro, I hear the erreor box, but can not see it to know what it says. My video card is the SIS 630\730 driver is sis630m.drv any help would be appreciated. If you e-mail , we can send you a version of the exe without the safedisc copy protection,
ladyterry, That's a bit out of my league. You should e-mail .
Found the bug, thanks Aldar. It was caused by a trade ship not having the right index, possibly caused by it getting loaded into a different slot than it was created in, which would explain why I didn't run into it while testing--I played straight through.
Blade777, when the screensaver pops up, does it leave Gal Civ out of focus for a long time? It doesn't seem to like that and I don't know why.
me way, except that they'll have a range as opposed to being limited to a sector with artificial lines. We will probably add some kind of queue/optional auto upgrade system, but we haven't discussed how it will work yet.
towards the end of my game.. a race retired leaviing its planets to me.. I had a trade route to it.. and it still exists after I gained control of the planet..
Darnit, it only checked to see if you were at war with the person who surrendered the star...
You can see who is trading with whom on the Treaties screen.
Demorve, so this is a custom map that you've created? I think that I may have fixed that bug awhile ago. If you update to the latest version and it's still there, please send me the custom map that you're using and I'll see if I can figure out what's going on.
Trapper101, e-mail me your prefs.ini file and a description of your problem (so that I know who you are), also your debug.err file.
Each civilization will have preset abilities, unless you choose the custom race and make your own. The custom race is the only one where you will get to pick your racial abilities.
SPhillips3001, Your post was removed because you were deliberately trying to spread false information, which you DO NOT have any right to do.
Yes, delete any subfolders in your savedgames directory and that will probably fix it.
Governor Overrides Projects means that if you have things set on your build list, the governor list will override it when you change it. So if you're currently building Soil Enhancement, but you move Entertainment Network to the top of the list, giving it higher priority, it will switch to Entertainment Network. Governor Ignores GNN is what stops the popups from coming up while you still have stuff in your queue.
Sorry, I accidently uploaded my prefs.ini file with the changes, so the music is turned off. Also, the option to use playlists is still User Defined Playlist, and you may need to copy your playlist folder from the GalCiv folder to the AP folder if none of your playlists are showing up. GC:AP is a different exe from GC, so it is technically a different program.
A build will be going up soon.
When I killed the above route, the popup for trade route discontinued read "...trade route 42949667295..."
Sorry, fixed that. I was reseting the trade route ID before the message popped up.
Help! My sound isn't working after downloading the updates.
Sorry, I accidently uploaded my prefs.ini file which has the music turned off.
Tried the right mouse button on the Obsolete ship list on the governors' screen and get a Crash To Desktop
Hmm, sorry, that wasn't showing up in debug mode. Fixed that.
