1280x 960 80-90% of the people I know and work with, including myself, use 1280x1024 and I think more than 50% of the more recent wallpepers here at WC are in that size.

windowblinds/wallpapers/logon/bootscreens Windowblinds is the only program that is part of Object Desktop and are widely known for working at any resolution. LogonXP, Bootskin & Wallpapers are free and not part of OD.

You will need Replacer to do that, but be warned, replacing system files can make Windows stop working.
