Please can someone put me in the picture as to why this is currently unfair for substrate? All Substrate units and buildings have shields which can be replenished by a Caregiver, similar to a Medic. In addition; the Substrate units and buildings also have Shield Regen, so both units and buildings can replenish shields over time without the need of

Sounds like a good update to look forward to. Also: Healing/Repair Rework: Engineers & Constructors not being effective at repairing structures is unintuitive and unfair to Substrate who lack Medics. Medics can no longer heal buildings
Originally Juggernauts were planned to be built directly on the ground from Engineers instead of the Dread Factories, but there isn't the UI space to do that properly. If we get build menus or Tier 2 Engineers we could go back to that design
Aw, that'd be damn cool. B

Mine was also crashing every time I used Vulkan (On AMD over here). Any chance you're on Windows 7?

OK, I'm going to be the Negative Nelly TM : With so few Dreadnaughts and Juggernauts combined, I don't really see this adding anything to the game. At the moment, there's two Juggernauts and three Dreadnaughts. Having a building to produce just two units would be borderline insulting. I can perhaps see an "upgrade" to the existing structure that allows faster build times on Dreadnaughts, and unlocks Juggernaut production (Woul

Unless they are going to be named like APC/MBT/SPG or something truly weird. lol. 2. Third faction [8t] Yep, this is what I voted for. I wanna see what those pesky Martians have cooked up. Although I have a strong suspicion it'll basically be a Cybran-like faction. As the PHC are essentially the UEF and the Substrate

Yep, I would sell someone else's first born child for this. It's rather annoying sometimes to bounce between multiple armies, quickly look at what's missing, add those in, jump to the next army, etc... I feel like I'm spending a good 30-50% of my time re-ordering units.

As someone who absolutely LOVES the expanded unit tiers, perhaps it would help to have a game option to limit tiers, akin to what Supreme Commander had (You could cap things at 1, 2 or 3, or no cap). That way if someone doesn't want to watch Juggernauts and Dreadnaughts absolutely wipe the floor with everything else, they can simply cut off the technological level where they like.
Maybe I'm a scrub, but where is the meaty mass of frigates? They can be very effective against anti-cruiser units and the sheer number of them can basically force the enemy to build up their supply of anti-frigate forces. Frigate swarms are surprisingly deadly without a counter as many of the heavy weapons available can't target them.
It comes down to efficiency. Because Cruisers are more durable, things like h
Weird, so the Masochist is a more cost effective tank then the Mauler or Avenger? And the Capacitor and Caregiver is even higher? Strange. And the Avenger has a more cost effective dps then the Masochist? That is really weird! I've taken to using the anti-frigate/anti-cruiser cruisers as meat shields to the main damage dealers in my fleet like the Nemesis/Artemis or the Drone Hive/Masochist an

Man, literally every one of these changes sounds awesome. Can't wait to try this out. And an extra special aside: Thank you for the Leonidas regeneration! Coupled with the huge sight range, it should be a force to be reckoned with now.
The nest is such an effective one unit army that it's mental. Units like Athenas don't target it on the attack move and often get stuck trying to kill the frigates and other escorts before trying to fire on the nest it's self. Attack moves often leave armies stuck trying to kill the rapidly re-spawning swarm that they forget to shoot at the nest, often requiring a manual command to focus her down. The Leonidas is a
I'm too used to supcom and such where an early radar is cheap and essential. Gotta catch those early bomber rushes yo!
Yup! In general, I find Ashes exceeds quite a few aspects that Supreme Commander did, but SupCom still has the better information/stealth side of things.

I'm sure others have better advice, but for me, it's: Start building a Factory. Immediately start producing Brutes with it. Send the Engineer to start producing Extractors for the deposits in your base. Use newly produced Brutes to take over deposits nearby. When faced with the choice between Radioactives and Metal, go with Radioactives. Use Engineer to keep producing extractors on nearby deposits. Start building second Engineer. <l
The shift thing. If you hold shift the whole time, yes you can drop a bunch. In other games, you can let go of shift, so long as you're holding shift when you enter the order, and it'll hold onto the build order. It's a little thing, as the title says. [e digicons]:D[/e]
Uh, Ashes handles this 100% exactly the same way as Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation do. It feels extremely intuitive to
