So did you send in a report to the support site? Did you find a dump file?
Dump file was blank, but I submitted a ticket with what I had :3
No need to use Windowed mode... game works very well jumping in and out of game, clicking on second monitor, typing in here, clicking back on first monitor in game.
Really? Galactic Civilizations II always crashes for me when I window it lol, hopefully this game turns out better? :)
I have also tried the smallest resolution and it starts up fine. So I have to wonder about the line in your debug file that gave me an incorrect conclusion, the one that says "Popup Manager Update: Unhiding FullScreenBink" and made me think you were running in full screen mode. Have you tried it in full screen mode, just to see if it works. After that, I think you need help from the stardock people, because I have run
Jesus, they're here now too?
Age of Conflict sounds much better in regards to this complaint, and I would prefer that instead of Age of War.
Holy necrobump Batman!
I like the Proposoal Frogboy did make in this post
Same, it sounds very interesting :3
I've tried every resolution, and it always crashes it crashes for me, this is just my reproduction of the bug when I was asked for the .err file.
Planetary Invasion needs to be more expensive to research, and be after one other tech. Right now rushing PI is an instant victory
I would also really like moon bases and colonies on habitable moon. I've wanted them since 2006 :c
Here's the debug file contents, the crash dump file didn't have anything; Debug Message: Version 0.0.1.0, last updated on: 03-27-2014 19:42 Debug Message: Activation successful. Debug Message: Entering WinMain Debug Message: ******* Starting Game Shell ******* Debug Message: Command Line: DebugMessage: Particle Engine Created. Debug Message: Adding DXSAS clean up function Debug Message: Initializing device
Sounds... complicated
Grinding achievements are somehow better because at least they suppose some real effort. They would not fare well compared to stuff like "Beat by yourself 7 allied Genius or better AIs" though.
"Beat 10 allied Godlike AI's, while not in an alliance yourself" Getting that achievement would be the new "Seriously 3.0"
Yo dawgs. The tech "Planetary Invasion" is the tech which you need to invade enemy planets. Unfortunately, in the current build it is far too cheap to research and is too early on the tree. It needs to be more expensive and have a single prerequisite (like Galactic Warfare), because as it stands, you can rush the tech in less than 8 turns, buy a single invasion transport, and trounce the enemy before they have the opportunity to build even basic craft. This problem is exacerba
One the largest map size is released, it needs some serious testing by micromanage lovers and not-so-fond-of-micromanagement players. I like to micromanage my planets one by one but never played bigger than huge galaxy (I think) in GalCivII because I'd go nuts.
If you're playing correctly and plan ahead, there isn't much micromanagement required on immense maps at all :3 You just need to specialize
An another one for NOT taking part on the alpha!!! Can we disable Steam achievements for our games? I don't need stuff that is not really achievement but control marks for the developers. (sorry, devs!!) "Achieving" to start my first game or stablish my first colony is not worth, at least, the notification.
"Conquer 100 enemies in one game" "Colonize 1000 planets" "Build and maintain 10,000
I want at least six ideology trees, with more varied colonization/random events to compensate.
Just to increase our narcissism even further, how about making the one achievement Elite Founder, achieved by participating in the alpha.
That's a disturbingly self-serving goal man! I LOVE IT
My thoughts on single cue
Site is screwey, cloned my thread.
Hey there. I've been trying to play the game in windowed mode so I can play and post feedback at the same time, but then the fact it's an alpha drop-kicked me in the testicles. No matter what I do, no matter what resolution, screens settings etc I use, whenever I try to generate a map, the title says "Not Responding" and crashes to desktop in a few seconds.
Especially if they're going to have 100+ civs in a single galaxy.... It's literally life sized.
I think our desktops are a ways away from simulating hundreds of billions of stars and trillions of planets. Still one can dream.
I saw this in a nebula. What does it mean? There aren't any wormholes as far as I can see.
I'm indifferent to the majority of your changes, but I there's one thing you mentioned...
Third Suggestion: I would also like to see A Tech Tree for each of the 4 Main Branches of Research. Something that gives you a more tactical view of what you aiming to gain scientifically.
This is being added later, I know this for certain.
And nothing can stop them from doing that. They'll get merged soon enough either way.
You must annihilate the ignorance that stands in your way. God speed, Kryo
