Thalan tech tree can do much the same. Better, really, since they can mine Military Resources at 60% rather than 49% that the generic tech tree caps out at. Stolen Hyperion Shrinker and Hyperion Logistics buildings help a lot. I frequently see logistics above 100 per fleet, and huge hulls with 400 points of space to put stuff. One of my posts from another topic: A single huge hull starts at 9

I pretty much know the the game to the extent it's possible to without reading the code, bu

I was a wee babe who got the 90's era Galactic Civilizations 2 as a gift for Christmas, well, my father did, but whatever. I started it up excitedly and man, did it disappoint. Played it maybe twice before uninstalling it and playing Secret Agent Barbie again (Not joking, that was a damn fun game). It burned holes into my eyes from how bad it was. Years later, I'm strolling down the aisle at Wal-Mart looking to buy Star Wars: Empire at War and the clerk tells me they're al
How big? A Starbase should be able to defend itself effectively, but if I bring my two strongest fleets at it and it still wins, how are the things ever going to be defeated?
One of my late-game fleets in GCII was an expendable 12-strong fleet of frigates with about 1000 attack and 3000 defense. I'd imagine most other players used similar setups because of realistic limitations in production per planet

Actually it would be closer to about 1800 years than a thousand years when these prophesies came from god, but you probably don't realize that the devil is trying very hard to twist everything that god says. If we arthis ie both right on the dates then that means that god came up with prophesies before the devil starting twisting t

I want the ability to "Shift-click" multiple planets in sequence and change their focus simultaneously (So I can set my economy worlds, manufacturing etc...) , rather than being forced to do so from their individual planet screens. This one thing in Galactic Civilizations 2 wasted a lot of my time, and it could've been better spent elsewhere.

I would prefer having a "Research Que" that let me set techs to research in advance, which would clear up some micro. That being said, researching things side-by-side would be foolish, since it would be by its very nature less efficient and effective than researching things consecutively (Would you rather be paid $1000 in two weeks, or $500 in one?)

Stardock has made it clear they are overhauling the space combat, and in the recent Q&A session they spoke about improving ground combat. I can't see if you're a founder or not, but we have a "Founder's vault" with a variety of pictures and sound files available to us. In these pictures it is very apparent that there has been a massive improvement to the ship creator, and there are now weapons that are classified as "Efficient" or "Long Range" with c

My apologies to those affected by our verbal duel.
I'd rather not discuss this, since it'll be a waste of time as we're both rather set in our opinions, and I've had this discussion literally dozens of times. Regardless, no hard fee
Really, all buildings need to be upgradable. Things like the Iconian central mine thing - they could be bulldozed and something else built there, but you couldn't just build over the stupid things. Or the buildings that let all your ships defend in orbit; that effect should have been a passive effect of the tech rather than a building, and even when it was a building we should have been able to build over it at need (such as

A whole metric ton of problems could have been solved by making the game take advantage of cores... Every time I boot up the game, I open up task manager and look at three of my four cores sitting there with a firm grip on their junk, doing nothing. Then I slouch down and cry for a bit. This one thing would make the entire game so much better, I can't believe Stardock
