It seems like they wiped out the rest of the major races before they got to you, so, in effectm you won by military conflict. Since the Dread Lords are technically a minor Race, they can still be in play when you win by military conquest. The movie you describe is the Military Conquest movie. If you are crashing while submitting to the metaverse, see "Brad's ongoing GalCiv update thread" in this forum. There is a new .dll to dowload that will fix the problem. If, after installing the new .d

Also balsr, make sure you keep them in orbit and not adjacent to your planets. If they are outside, a transport could sneak through and invade. Transports can NOT attack if you have a ship, any ship, in orbit. -Dave ~SDC~

They are wasted. There is much debate right now as to what a better method would be. See the thread in the GalCiv forum for more on this. -Dave ~SDC~

I'm thinking that new .dll fixed the problem, but we needed to re-register the player and/or restart Galciv (twice) to get it to work. Also, maybe there is a bandwidth bottleneck on Stardock's end, and we were just finally lucky enough to get through (doubtful, but worth thinking about?). Keep us posted, because I, too am curious as to why it didn't work initially. -Dave ~SDC~

Governors are essentially build queus for your planets. As you gain more social improvements, you can visit the Domestic-->Governor screen to add them, in you desired order, to the build queue. In the Planetary details screen, you can then select which governor, if any, you;d like each planet to use. Hope this answers your question! -Dave ~SDC~

T-Man, I submitted a game earlier today, and like 4 on the 26th and 27th (all the same game, but multiple tries to submit). The date on my galciv.exe is 2/26/2003. FWIW, I am also behind a router. Perhaps this problem is related to that. I was also having the crash issue when Galciv submitted, but Ian's new .dll has fixed that. I will wait and see if Lobos can get through w/o router use, and try the same. -Dave ~SDC~

T-Man, I am not using a beta version. I removed the beta and did a fresh install of the game (after first trying to upgrade from the beta). Is there a registry key I should edit or remove that may be sending the beta info? Again, the game was completely removed and re-installed. -Dave ~SDC~

Brad, what will flag as a game that way? For instance, I noticed that The Terraformer and Tir-Quan training share the same ID, causing the Terraformer to not show up in the build list. So I edited the text file to allow me to build The Terraformer. I have done NO edits to any save games. Will this "flag" my score? -Dave ~SDC~

There is a small glitch with the Metaverse submissions. They are working on it and should have it righted soon. Save your game, and resubmit once it is resolved. -Dave ~SDC~
