I'm not going to pass judgement by screaming 'RIP!' on this one, but from what Dark Mist has said it sounds like he was unaware that the original image was copyrighted material. The danger with downloading and using any images from sites which claim to be royalty free collections is that you're never really sure where the image has come from in the first place. It's so much safer, but obviously more costly, to buy photographs like this from a reputable seller or as a part of a CD clipar

'aliasing' = with hard edges 'anti-aliasing' = without hard edges therefore 'without any aliasing' = with smooth edges 'without any anti-aliasing' = with hard edges If you save an image using magic pink 'without any aliasing', you get a pink halo round the final image where the magic pink isn't pure. The problem is with your 'xpstuff.xp' file. All the image paths are incorrectly set to point to a directory named 'skin3\' rather than 'Glassy Xp\'. If you fix this, the Start menu should work fine.

Under 'Shadows' in the WindowFX Properties, click on the 'Modify...' button and make sure that 'Adjust shadows for shaped windows' is checked. This has a slight performance hit and doesn't work completely with certain skins, but looks a lot nicer.

Creating a skin with variable levels of transparency in the titlebar isn't currently possible with WindowBlinds. A pixel is either 'on' or 'off', and there's no in between. Transparency can be faked with poor to medium success by using dithering, but this always looks bad at anything below the highest of screen resolutions. You therefore won't find any decent skins with, for example, see-through glass titlebars or similar. The only option is to use a tool like the one mentioned above to

I have to say, this air of unquestioning tolerance that's started to creep into situations like this is somewhat concerning. What's the point in fighting to protect copyrights for all when there are those amongst us who don't seem to give a damn in the first place? Perhaps you can only have a realistic perspective once your own work has been stolen, or perhaps people just don't care anymore. A sorry state of affairs either way.

As I said already Styl skinner, whether it's 8 people or 800, it's still copyright infringment and illegal redistribution. The web page from which you can download the skins isn't even protected in any way, through the use of password protection or any other security, so regardless of how many people officially have access to the page there's nothing to stop anyone else from downloading the files. It's therefore considered public redistribution.

It's all very well believing him, as I do too to some extent, but the fact remains that he's ignored the removal request so far. That makes me a little less likely to sway into sympathy for him.
