Say in photoshop I make a round object and cutout a square in the object. How do I apply an effect just to the cutout selection and not the whole layer. I mean say I want to add stroke to the cutout selection and make the inside of the cutout selection have a black outline around it. How do I apply the stoke to just the cutout section and not the whole thing?

Smooth looking preview in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I did an object in photoshop and used pattern overlay with some scanlines I found. The object turned out fine but when I submitted it the preview didn't look like the origional object..All the scanlines which were real small on the object itself got real big in the preview until you click on preview to see big picture.. Any way to make it appear real smooth in the preview? (Before you click on preview to show big picture).

I made a weather object from a part of windowblinds (object) called mako by pixtudio and showed it to him and he gave me his permission to upload it. I just want to know how to go about it. Never done this before. Is this a port or is that something else, also about his permission he just said go ahead and upload it. Do I need something in writing or can I just say thanks for the permission?

I'm trying to make some different icons for a dx weather object. Most of them I did alright but I'm having trouble making a sun, for some reason. Any ideas or sugestions?

Only the ones in the color pallette(don't know if it's spelled right) anyway have a purplish tint to them. But if you click on foreground color and pick it that way it's alright Any way to change the colors in the pallette so the grays are actually gray and not a little bit purple?

I seem to have a slight problem with the gray colors in photoshop. Seems they look a little bit on the purple side. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've done a few things with irregular type shapes but just with the selection tool on subtract from selection, and I was just wondering if there is some other way to go about it. I don't really know what to call it but it's when you have an object, let's say it's red and kind of a dark red, and you go to type small type on the object( with white letters) and it looks as though the red (from the object) kind of bleeds through a little on the white lettering. I found if you make the type big it seems allright but if you want it real small it just don't look good.. Any suggestions other than just keep the writing big..?

No one seems to be helping me with my DX object named Boop's weather & calendar. The problem is you can't download it. All my other objects are allright but this one isn't. I just resubmiited it along with some other things and when I clicked the download button on the other things they worked fine but not on Boop's weather & calendar. Does anybody know why this is happening? Am I doing something wrong or wha
