Is it possible to get a replacement CD, or if I wanted another one would I have to buy the game again. I went to install it today and I noticed some kind of film on the CD through the jewel case. When I pulled the case open the CD was stuck to the clear part of the case. From what I can tell it looks like some top layer of the CD's label sticker got stuck for some reason, and it's now peeled off, making the CD looks real weird, but still usable for the moment.

I know that there are sliders already in place that allow for universal control over Military, Research, and Social. But is there a way to control what a planet does at the planetary level? For instance, if I have a planet that is out of social projects, could I tell it individually to allocate all resources toward Military projects?

Last night I got a CTD, and this morning when I went to play the campaign I was on level 3 (I haven't beat level 2 yet). I ended up losing because for some reason the difficulty was too high, and when I hit the campaign button to start again I was back on level 2. [Message Edited]

Hm, I just ordered the Altarian Prophecy, and made a new Stardock Sales account (for my current e-mail address). I guess this also changed my Galciv registration to the same one. At least that is taken care of :D Can I still get my regular Stardock login e-mail changed by mailing sales? Or is that another matter. [Message Edited]

I think the prospect of continuing games like that would be really cool. I don't like going the military route because i'm not good at it, but it's not like i'm exactly "good" at the others. And Starvald, what is the problem you have with SS2 exactly? The game works with XP with the latest patch and such, unless this is an installation issue.

My inability to change my style just cost me this one game. Small galxy with a scattered setting. I had the worst starting position ever. 3 stars with one habitable planet (feasibly) each. That's counting Earth. The only thing I had going for me was I had 2 resources all to my self that I immediately threw starbases onto. Since it took me a while to find anyone, I wasn't getting much money from trade, so things were taking longer to research and to build. I finally managed to finda minor-civ an

When I ordered the game a little while ago I did the option of having the game shipped w/ download option (because i'm impatient and wanted it RIGHT THEN :D) If I remember right, all I did was download a zip or something to my hard drive and installed from there. I have no idea why you keep downloading the game. Though, I deleted anything I had to download when I recieved the CD not too long ago.

When it comes down to 4x games, I always find myself playing the same. It basically boils down to me trying my hardest to stay atop of research and trade, while neglecting things such as defense and military ships. It kind of makes the end game a little hectic, with everyone trying to annihilate each other and then with me playing catchup. It's not that hard, since by then I have the most cultural influence, the most money, the best techs and a large amount of people. But it is a little frustrat

I'd get MOO3 for 10 dollars, just to say I have it. If there's one obvious character flaw I have, it's that i'm a horrible packrat. Plus, maybe the game will get better after the first code patch. I myself really tried to get into the game, but I just couldn't do it ~SDC~

Leto, inquiring minds want to know, so don't be afraid to answer. You aren't like, retarded or anything are you? AND STOP SHOVELING YOUR CRAP ABOUT WANTING A WORTHY SUCCESSOR TO MOO2. It was pointed out before, the best games don't need successors because they are fun forever. You lose your argument on the aspect of tactical combat, so you call it "another dry, half-implemented, 4x space game". If you didn't care about the game at all you wouldn't of posted. There's a limit on

I see a lot of people talk about this game on other forums that I frequent, and it seems that previous games are always alluded to. Is this a sequel of some sort? If so, would it be worth getting the previous games, or just waiting or this to come out? I really can't wait for this game. Between the impening release of Freelancer, MOO3, and this... I don't know where my time is going to go LOL.
