i would like the bounty leaderboard to be updated only when pirate fleets launch (so you cant constantly just outbid) so that while the pirates live the bounty board is only updated every time pirate fleets launch.
I strongly disagree. The bounty is not just for pirates, it's for anyone who wants to do the job. I've used it to give an incentive to anyone (not just the pirates) to get somebody off my back.

Other than Starcraft, I found that most of these games just mentioned had very similar setups between the factions. Command and Conquer 3, for example, has near total correspondence between structures that can be built for each team. The three (coming soon 9) teams do have some different units, but they each have a basic rifleman, a basic rocket troop, a basic grenadier, a basic scout vehicle, and light tank, and medium tank, a heavy tank-like unit, etc., etc., etc. Just because a uni
Yes, it is. Saying that the lack of strong culture means it is not a "real 4X" also means that Civ2, MOO, Alpha Centauri, and Empire are not "real" 4X games. In Empire, there was no diplomacy at all, this game has more diplomatic options than the grand-daddy of all 4X games. There is more control over trade than there was in Empire or the early Civ games or Master of Magic. The tech tree is more detailed than many 4x games. If all of the games I've
Gallagher118, more likely they would be like most game developers who have sold themselves out to the big companies and start shipping games on the day the marketing suits think will sell the most copies rather than actually being ready and stop supporting their games after the day-one patch.
Those are in-system travel lanes. To go to another system takes a different type of movement (at least in the beta it did). To answer the intent of your question, yes, you are restricted to fast movement lanes unless you are in the gravity well of a planet (where travel is slow).
Speaking of updates, Dom3 just got a new update and it adds a new late era faction.
I really like Dom3. The UI is not bad, it just needs explained once. There is a real 300 page manual and you should spend the time to read it. C'mon there are 50+ factions, 600+ spells, and it supports 20 player multiplayer matches.
The City on the Edge of Forever.
I picked this up a week or so ago and Wow! This is a meaty game. FWIW, the game is now at version 1.06.
* Do you still play Civilization IV? * What did you think of the "Warlords" expansion pack? * What do you think of the "Beyond the Sword" expansion pack? * Is a new version of Civilization about to be released that I should just wait for? * What other strategy games do you think are better than Civilization?
1 - Occasionally, but not as often as GalCiv2 these days (in the past that was different). 2 - Good, but buy Beyond the Sword
As near as I can tell these (Ion Beam techs) do nothing for the Korath. BTW, naming a tech Particle Beams when there is one named that already is probably a bad idea.
I was playing a new game last night (beta 3b) and when I ran into the Humans they had Warp Drive 3 (and none of the pre-reqs). None of the other races that I contacted had this for trade yet.
I am somewhat active on CivFanatics (my handle there is Warpstorm) Well, I play GalCiv2 more than I do BTS by a large margin. 1. Too many to answer. It'd be shorter to say they are both Civ-like games in space. I like Trip's work (hi Trip, say hi to your new boss Steve for me), but I like GalCiv more. 2. I think so. 3. I don't have a CD of it, but then again you don't need one. I have this installed on all of my computers. 4. Why? I've never tried
Please realize your ships had speed 2-3. Survey ships of AIs had 4-5
In the beginning of the game that may have been true, but I upgraded them all every time I could. Mine are faster than that now (7). Mine are regularly beating them to anomalies. Their one flagship (if it survived the wars) is not in the same league as my flagship plus 10 survey scouts.
If you put 5 AIs in the game, their survey ships took at least as much anomalies as
In my current game, I built about 10 survey vessels (tiny frame, survey pod, engine, nothing else). The AI has their flagship. I am bringing in a cash bonus most turns as well as the various tech ups and stat increases. The AI never built them before, but you could clear the anomalies out early in the game and your survey vessels would need to be repurposed. Now, with the respawning anomalies, these ships are a very valuable investment. This gives the human player a major advantage.
Kane wins since he has a bobblehead. http://ea.seenon.com/detail.php?p=23990 Seriously. Now, if Lord Kona had a bobblehead...
I was playing as the humans. I over-expanded (very easy with the economy changes, but that is a different story). Morale dropped. I was overthrown. A new splinter faction of humans was formed. The image on various screens showed the other human image, except for the diplomatic viewscreen which was showing a blue alien.
It allows me to do them in an order. Why would I not take the third tier and skip the rest?
There is only two companies that have the expertise to make a MoM2 : Firaxis and Stardock. Far from true, IMHO. In Hunt Valley alone (where Firaxis is located), there are three other companies that have enough programmers and designers from the glory days of Microprose that I'm pretty sure that any of them could pull it off. In addition, Steve Barcia is st
Hardware T&L will almost always increase your speed if you have a card that supports it.
Nearly all mice with 4 or more buttons can be programmed to allow any of the extra buttons to do what you want (including double-click).
Count me in as another who feels this way. I really don't care how the Metaverse is scoring. All I want to see is how my scores compare to each other.
...and when will that be?
