Well it does run. The bottom is truncated because it requires 1024x768, but given that I can rotate the view it isn't a big problem for game play except for the UI buttons at the bottom. I haven't seen any other response, so I might give modding a try myself. I would prefer to have Sins available when I travel, but if not I can go with a number of other alternatives: Homeworld, Homeworld2, Haegemonia, O.R.B, Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, etc.

Is there a mod to move the ui bar at the bottom of the screen to the top or some where in between? I really only want this for when I am traveling, but it would be nice. Before I go trying to figure out how to create a mod myself, I figured I would ask to see if one existed already. Thanks.

Quit GalCiv if it is running. Under your GalCiv directory there is another directory named, Data. Look for the a file named, English.str. Example) c:\Program Files\Dregin.net\galciv\Data\English.str Make a backup copy of the English.str file before modifying it. Just in case you mess something up. Rename the copy or place it in another directory. Open the English.str file with notepad. Go to the Edit menu on the toolbar and pick "Find" or skip

No. Stardock has been pretty clear on this. GalCiv is a single player game. The focus has been and continues to be on making excellent AIs for the game. I think Brad even has an article about it under the encyclopedia section of the GalCiv website. ~SDC~

Sedula - You are wrong in thinking the AI is cheating. If your espionage didn't show them researching Dreadnaughts, they must have traded for them, probably a minor Civ. However, it also could have been the Torians if the Altarians gave them something for them. As to producing them, the Altarians also could have bought them on leases. The graph is not the best way of tracking your galactic neighbors. Just because someone looks weak, doesn't necessarily mean they are weak. ~SDC~

Ah man, T-Man. You didn't say that process would wipe out the history of what had already been read. I would have prefered to just edit the discussion.ini. Bummer. Oh well, life moves on. Thanks for the new forum. :) ~SDC~

Or you could just join us. Really, wouldn't you be upset if the Arnor had imprisoned you in a crystal for eons on end? Geeze, try to get a little payback and the galaxy hates you for it. LOL ~SDC~

It would be nice if SDC could display some sort of message about what the update includes. The 33 build is listed this morning, but I don't have any idea of what fixes or enhancements it contains. That is a bit bothersome to me. ~SDC~
