I ammend my above post with "in my opinion." You have yours and I respect that. I stand by mine. Cheers.

I imagine a race so powerful, so advanced, that they have developed medicines that will reduce the length of common colds to just one day. Also, they will have antenae like Ray Walson in My Favorite Martian.
FPS and TB games are two extremely different genres. You MUST have state of the art graphics for FS games because, with few exceptions, without them you have nothing.(Unreal 3 anyone?) They are nearly mindless shooters. Great graphic are needed for RTS as well because that genre is as stale as ten day old bread in a packages that wasnt closed properly. Sure, it would be nice to have 3 d graphics in GalCiv, but I play CIV2 even now and I couldnt care less about the graphics. Its the gameplay (how
I demand...a SHRUBBERY!
wow. in Moo2 it takes 50 turns to get a good tech. You win in 50? I dont win in even 150 so I must be doing something wrong. I dig your overall strategy...but I think maybe it takes a wee bit longer to win. ;)
I forsaw all above agreements. Thats my 6th sense.
Osman- the MOO forum is owned by IG. They can regulate the content. It is clear by now that the IG MOO forum is not the place for discussion of the games merits and faults. It has become a jr. highschool playground. Best to steer clear, you are wasting your time voicing opinions. The moderators are shellshocked. If you say Hi, I'm new here you may get slammed. "What? you TROLL! How DARE you. Youre NEW? What do you mean by that? I think you are a...a...a SPY! Yes..yes! a spy come to sow dissent.
Thanks Geeshu...thats one fear down. Now, can you do something about the thing under my bed? ;)
Hey Peter Sly-this board is polite and WILL STAY polite or I'll start kickin ass, you dig?? where do you get off suggesting we arent going to stay that way!!! Damn. we ARE going to stay that way. I'm RIGHT see, and if you dont agree with me your WRONG, get it?? Har. just kidding Pete!! That was just for those who miss the Moo3 board. Cheers! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
please tell me that Troy's observations are not really what happens. Frogboy says the AI does not cheat. If it is nearly impossible to get funds, colonize, research and get a military ship or two all in the same time period, how does the computer do it? And having a defensive ship almost immediately after a planet is colonized sounds like CIV3 to me or RTS AI having 10 times more units than you do in half the time. IE CHEATING. This game AI is not supposed to cheat. If it is an issue of Tro
thanks!
just kidding BoogieBac ;)
I like the idea of editing posts...sure would help me as I have a defective keyboard. I type in correctly but at times, it comes out mispelled. I have got to get a new one! The game is the life.
I want the blood pack! See, when you turn evil the screen changes and gets redder and nastier and eventually, drops of blood start dripping from the corner of the screen then begins to cover more and more of the screen the more evil you get and then you hear diabolical laughter as you destroy the universe and then and and....and......uh...er... nevermind. I will go away now.
some of folks at the moo forum appear to have the attitude that there is only one TB space game that can be played. NOBODY could possibly want to play both Moo and GalCiv, right? What the hell's wrong with playing any and all games that you like? There is no ONE PERFECT be all game for everyone. I for one, kinda of like Moo3 though its not what i expected or wanted, and it needs patches badly.I think I will love GalCiv. Once I get over the initila rush of GalCiv (playing it non stop for awh
I dont think its that much of a deal. Just wait to download the bonus pack until after you finished the current game. Unless you've got a uber game going that will take weeks to finish, whats the harm in holding off a day or two. May even be easier to download as the intial feeding frenzy nay have passed. If the prospect of NOT getting the goodies until you've finished the current game is too strong bite the bullet and quit you current game to start a new one.
will the bonus pack be downloadable to a zip disk, then loaded into the GalCiv game files? I have 2 computers, the one with the modem is only a p500. The game will go on my faster computer which doesnt have a modem because I was trying to save money (doh!) I cant download directly into the game. Answer please? Thanks!!
small plastic ship? NOT if have to paint it myself!!
hey, if it really means that much, I'll donate MY box once I get it from EBX. Just let me know if ya want it and where to send it to. :) :)
if ya want to complain about the game ALREADY, ya may want to back to the Moo boards; its slowing down there and they could use some more sh_t stirring............ :) :)
looks like this has enuff replay value to stay on my drive as longs Civ 2, MOM, and MOO2! Those are the olds turn based games I have and they have never come off. (mostly becasue I want to keep the Hall of Fame scores (hehe heh)
RustyBlade...thanks but I bought Warcraft 3 and deleted from my drive.Yeah I tried it because I thought that (as I did for Age of Myth) that THIS one would be different. I WAS blown away by the graphics, but I found that the gameplay was too much like all the other RTS games out there. Dont get me wrong, if you love RTS, I'm sure you'd love Warcraft, or any other finely made RTS;and whether I like these games or not I DO know a quality product when I see it and WC3is quality. But I just dont get
People all over the world-join in! Its a love train! Love train! oops...dating myself now.
eqervari- points well taken but I still say one should think for themselves. I also stated in a previous post that one can use reviews to stay informed. You can find out all you might want about bugs or graphics or gameplay, but in the end its your own experience that should be the deciding factor. Case in point: Warcraft 3. Great reviews..its the be all/end all of RTS. Only thing is, I dont like RTS so no matter how wonderful the RTS gameplay was described or how great the graphics are,it d
people tend to think the best reviews are those that they agree with. case in point...the guy who thought Dungoen Siege was awful. I LIKE it. Had loads of run with it. Just my opinion. So I dont think that review of DS was wrong. The guy who hated DS thinks its wrong. So its ALL OPINION. You'll never win an agrument with another if you like the game and he doesnt (or vica versa.) Its like debating religon or politics in the sense that it's a no win situation. By all means, check out rev
