AI tech advancment in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

When ever I play on normal difficulty or above no matter how higher my research bonus is and no matter how high my research spending is nearly every race has higher level techs than I do. I dont just mean by a bit either, I mean I've barely finished researching Laser III and half the AI have Plasma II when my research bonus is 120% and theirs 60%. Literally every game I play above sub-normal this happens. Why? I know at a certain point the AI gets bonuses but I didnt think it would be

That worked but now whenever I select the terran alliance it goes to the custom race setup... I think i'm going to have to do a total reinstall...

I'm running the gold edition of the game (came with DL, DA and TA). On both machines I have the game installed on the mod selection folder in the options menu is buggy and doesnt display mod names, just a selectable gray bar but Ive managed to enable them anyway. All of the other mods I have made work perfectly 100% of the time so dont link me to the wiki or FAQ like the last site I asked this question on dispite saying this,&

Once i colonized a PQ 3 planet and gave it as a gift. the AI did not disband it and it drag down there econimy untill it and 3 other of there worlds joined the I-Leage.

I always win when I play on map sizes like medium or large on settings like Normal. But I win because I collect the anomolys that give my servyship +1 attack find an alein home world early on and dont let ships leave it usualy only take a year for them to surrender. In the mean while I am at war with everyone but usualy the Torians. I quicky wipe out the Acearns and Alterians taking 2 or 3 of their systems before they have strong millitaries so they surrender and the Yor and Derign always seem t

I just downloaded the newest update yesterday and everything wa going fine, I made a few modifications like a new polparty and a new Improvment and it was going fine but now when ever it needs to load the U.P. It CTD and I cant figure out why. Any help here?

the game i just finished lasted till the Mid 24th century around 2343 i think when i won with a super high score of 43,876 on Gigantic with all AI on normal but i didnt submit cause i was using hevey mods and i though it would just set off the cheating detector and show as 0 anyway ;p

i dont send my freingters from the system they are build in i send them to my best then star the route that way i dont waste time on building freigters on my millitary production planets.

i have an idea why they are green. In star trek the kiligons have everything be red in side there ships but on the outside they are green it cood have somthing to go with that.

last night i was playing galciv and had colonized Thindor early on. And I eventualy Became my 2nd frount line millitary world (Jaburo was better but ships were constanly leaving it.) when i was in the status part of the domestic polacy screen i check my most defended System it was Thindor then i though no wait thats the stupid bug. then i did the math and it was my best defended system. btw when it this going to be fixed?

smok-n-joe i cant think of an resion to give DS9 a moive though thats not as cheesy as how Worf showed up in Inserection and Nemisis (well Nemisises resion wasnt that bad). have a realy good ship desgin part so you make the classes of ships your self and have more than 1 or 2 ways of determaning planet quality and a verity of uninque racesbut you have an interesting idea are you doing this solo or a company thing i would like to get involved if possable. I have been waiting for a chance to break in the game design market and the only game i have ever made didnt turn out to good it was a PC RPG called The Ring OF EverDown its not that it was bad the story was great
