when you buy a social building (Galactic Stock Exchange in my case) and then check the planetary details, the governor overrides the build. The Galactic Stock exchange is however removed from the queue so it can never be built again. The planetary bonus of the wonder IS in effect however, but the empire-wide bonus is not. The trade good is also not available to trade when it disappears from the list this way. ~SDC~

I noticed that some numbers on the Database aren't quite accurate. For instance: A Galactic Monument adds 10% to the economy and 33 to the influence (prestige) of the planet where it was built. It does however add 10% to the overall influence skill of the empire. The Galactic Stock exchange adds 25% to the economy and influence of the planet where it was built but ALSO 25% to the overall empire economy. This distincion isn't present on the website yet but can be quite i
Funny really that a game against five sub-normal players is considered suicidal ;) ~SDC~
Just have them deleted ;) I've put up the metaverse screens of my submitted games here: http://biggyboy.come.to/Games so the devs can see the difference between what I tried submitting and what shows up ;) ~SDC~
You can only do planetary invasion now if the defenses are gone. What difference does it make if an enemy takes over your planets or destroys then into uselesness? You should just not allow him to get close ;) Right now it's just too easy to abuse to use planetary bombardment in a way that it doesn't damage the planet but you still gain the advantages of it. ~SDC~
I just saw the new game info for my games on metaverse but the information for my submitted games isn't quite correct. Bot the difficulty levels and the win method does not macht the screens I saw when I finished the game. Should I resubmit to get things right? ~SDC~
No I haven't seen the attack strategies? Where can I find them? btw: I used two transports but NOT in a single fleet. So I used two separate attacks. One to decimate the population with mass drivers and the second one to conquer the planet without any damage. ~SDC~
gravity accelerators give 20% speed bonus so that would indeed not show in a survey ship with a base speed of 2. I'll try to see through espionage if it has any noticeable effect ;) ~SDC~
there must be someone silly enough to try this and tell us about the results! :) ~SDC~
Exactly! ~SDC~
it didn't wipe anything out with me. Am I a freak now? ~SDC~
you see what you did Frogboy! You got us so spoilt that we now even *expect* your patches to be out within a day! ;) ~SDC~
The guy's a maniac! and we love those! ~SDC~
I second that! well I third that actually! ~SDC~
thanks! Oh and Brad... maybe you can tell your wife and kids that we really appreciate their sacrifice ;) ~SDC~
With all the recent updates I thought this had already been addressed but it seems it hasn't. When I need to pay a tribute to another empire the tribute is *substracted* from my expensed and not added. Effectively it means that paying tribute is GOOD for my economy. This has caused a game of mine to become spoiled since I had to pay tribute to keep peace and it turns out it made my empire stronger so I could withstand the oppressors better! Please add the minus sign in
I bought the a trade good that gave me a 30% diplomacy bonus. I could only see this in my stats screen and I noticed it in my further diplomatic actions. You have to realize that getting a +20% bonus on something does not mean that you get 20% extra of that thing, but that your bonus increases by another 20%: example: If you start the game with +50% hitpoints (war party) and you increase this with tri-strontium steel by another 20% it will mean that you have a +70% bonus on hitp
I agree with you Paul. I think that's why they have a strong weight on the timing of your win in there. The faster you win the more points. Am I wrong there? ~SDC~
Maybe. I would say the damage would be proportional to the number of people you kill. So attacking 10B people with 1M troops will not do much but if you send a nice taskforce to attack and you nearly kill all of them (but just not conquer them) then I'd say you should have as much collateral damage as you would have when you did conquer the planet. ~SDC~
For a tech victory you should definately NOT stay at home :) You should colonize as much as you can as quickly as possible and dig in then. Then slowly conquer some planets with culture. Just make sure you leave at least 1 and preferrably 2 big empires alone and trade with those like crazy. Also try to have those two be at war a lot. That helps you get ahead more :) And buy a lot of their warships so that your military is impressive enough for them to leave you alone without needing to s
I agree Anaynamewildo. I was just wondering how people got these enormous scores. I really like playing the game at increasing difficulty levels. I enjoy the challenge this game is giving me. I've never experience this with any other 4x/TBS game yet :) ~SDC~
I noticed that when I attacked a planet with 2 separate troop transports I would use mass drivers or whatever nasty attack method to thin out the planets population and then conquer the planet with the second ship with a normal attack, and nothing would be destroyed! Also the planet value would remain the same! It is VERY helpful to use this but I think it would also be nice to be able to bombard an enemy planet without conquering it, leaving a smouldering husk for your enemy to enjoy.<
You can also buy transports from other races to get a quick population boost if you want :) ~SDC~
Acturus, in that case a small bonus would be nice ;) I just haven't experience that myself yet :) I like the idea of separate scoring for different size maps. That way also small map players can have a say in things ;) ~SDC~
Bug 1: Just turn on 'view autopilot ships' and 'view enemy ships' in your options menu. Bug 2: We are all wondering about that but supposedly a fix for that a fix for that has already been implemented Suggestion: I like that one too :) Question: Yes you can. Updating the version doesn't have an influence on your savegames. The game might play a bit different tho ;) Compliment: I second that! Yay stardock! Yay Brad! :CONGRAT: ~SDC~
