I've had the computer crash when loading a game. It doesn't happen consistently unfortunately. I immediately got a threat which I ignored causing the crash. Now I understand the computer wants to win but this is kinda ridiculous ;) anyway here's your milk and cookie: Stardock SmartException Logging Information ------------------------------------------- OS Version : Windows 2000 Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 Application Exception code: C00000

I feel that all the scores should be scaled to mapsize. Playing a Gigantic map should not yield greater scores imho. 0-Victory should not need to be counted separately in a good scoring settings since winning only works of you have a high score. You won't win a cultural victory if you aren't the biggest anyway 1-Difficulty level should be related to mapsize. The larger maps are easier to start on and in some sense easier to play. It's also easier to isolate yourself on such maps.<br

I was wondering if anyone knows what things result in a high score. Does it pay to build a massive fleet at the end of the game just to up your score even if going for a peacful score? How important is the speed of winning? Does it pay to play a bit longer to get a larger empire? ~SDC~

I've just won my second game by tech victory although it would have been easier to go for cultural victory if I really wanted. The goal is to get your settings very good in tech and get a lot of tech starbases (buy them if you have to) Make sure you do not get involved in any wars (so also no alliances) by trading much with all other races and then just churn out constructors. That entire game I only built colony ships and constructors and 1 excalibur (just to test it). I bought any

Whe editing the governor's build list if you want to remove an item high in the list and the list is scrolled down the wrong item is removed. example: If item 4-26 are shown and I click to remove item 26, it results in item 23 being removed. ~SDC~

I second that one. The tribute lists in the expense column, but it is actually added to your income. A VERY cheatable bug that. addition to my previous bug: I've noticed that the effect of the trade good I bought IS transferred (I noticed the change in my stats) but apparently I cannot trade it to anyone else anymore. ~SDC~

Is anyone from Stardock still reading this thread? I've found 2 bugs: -I traded with a minor race to buy a Trade Good from them. After that the trade good disappeared from their list but it never (at not later turn) appeared in my list of things I own. -When the userinterface turns too 'good' and you click on one of the overview screens (F4-F6) the part with the face in it is still in the 'Neutral' style. ~SDC~

If you're running out of cash make sure you build trade routes and sell stuff to other races (preferrably for a monthly tribute). In my games so far most of my income comes from these things. Taxes alone are not enough to keep an empire running full speed :) ~SDC~

I played Moo1-3 SE4, stars etc etc etc I love Galciv. It is a game that is easy to learn but difficult to master (because the AI is so damn good). Moo3 is a game that is very difficult to learn but easy to master (at the current stage anyway). You cannot design ships, but given the simplicity of combat that also wouldn't make sense. I thought at first I would miss it but I don't. With this game you focus on the big picture: If and where to deploy your fleets rather than wha

Foodcraver Jackson: We know because on a planet without any buildings that is not building any military or social products, the spending is exactly equal to the production points not being use. This is quite annoying because it means that you cannot use a planet just to pay taxes because a lot of taxes are being wasted on building thin air. (I) I think it would already be much better if no money is spent on not building stuff. This way it's much easier to balance your books for the
