Well, I figured out why my queue got stuck on nothing, and perhaps why all the launch queues are getting stuck on a particular ship. It seems to happen when the orbit's full...? As soon as I took all the ships out of orbit of my system, I could build ships again, seemingly normally.

[IMAGE]http://icewind.dyndns.org:81/ships.jpg[/IMAGE] No idea if that image will work or not, but if you do see the pic, note the number of constructors and defenders the arcaeans have put out. And they just keep churning them out one after another, just to sit there and bring my P4 3.06Ghz hyperthreading processor to its knees.

I've got the same problem (1.02.41), and the AI can do it too. The Arcaens took a few systems from me, and when I went to retrieve them, one of them had a full orbit of constructors, WITH 260+ CONSTRUCTORS SITTING OUTSIDE THE SYSTEM. I started to take them out, but with that many ships on screen each turn took forever (game almost seemed to lock up it slowed down so much) and they put new ones out almost as fast as I could destroy them. Holy crap, Starvald...what have you done to your system! And now you've got noodlearm double-posting! :) Ok noodlearm, a quick Google shows your monitor does have a default resolution of 1280x1024, so I'd switch to that. It should improve clarity/reduce fuzzy edges on EVERYTHING you do: Windows, games, etc. Again, I can't say for sure it will make your full screen GalCiv look right, but it's worth a shot. I doubt it since starting GalCiv is just going to put you in 1024x

I've given up on SDC for the forums and gone strictly to the web-based. :( But yeah, the flickering thing shouldn't be happening regardless of res. Not sure about that one. :(
