"However, do I think that if StarDock had paid for a lot of advertising that a different, more "experienced" reviewer would have been assigned? Yes." Ok, you can certainly think that, and most gamers familiar with the way MOST review sites work would agree. But I REALLY think you're wrong and that you're somewhat underestimating the integrity of Avault. Again, I'm not in any way defending THAT review.

Build me starbases. I want to see a screenshot of a sector where every square not occupied by a star has a starbase in it. The first one to post such a screenshot wins $1,000,000 bc from me as soon as GalCiv goes multiplayer. :) An extra $500,000 if your starbases are upgraded to the BIG starbases. (I thought of trying for this myself, but damn I'm too lazy. And I have kids.)

Yes, I think things overall will look better if you set your monitor to use the native resolution. Will this help GalCiv? I doubt it. Unless Brad and his team decide to implement resolution changing in the game, you're going to be better off using the windowed version. But definitely make sure you're running your monitor at the native res. What kind of monitor is it?

"If you like dune a new dune miniseries will be come out on the space channal but not sure if people can get it out of Canada" If you're talking about the "Children of Dune" miniseries, it was out in the U.S. several weeks ago on the Sci-Fi channel.

To clarify a little: When you run the windowed version, your monitor is staying at its native resolution (probably 1280x1024 if it's around a 17" monitor?) and displaying galciv at 1024x768 in a window, and that's why it looks right. When you run the full screen version of GalCiv, it's forcing your monitor to a non-native resolution, and that's why it might not look as good. Hopefully they'll find a way to implement resolution options in the game, but I don't think it's an

Is there any reason the trade sliders can't be as big as the other sliders (tax, spending, etc.)? Also, all sliders should allow you to hold the mouse down on the arrow to make the slider move, instead of having to rapid-click. ~SDC~

If you double click your "scout" (actually it's called "survey ship") you have an option there for Auto Survey which will send him off on his merry way to find the space junk, etc. When he finds a ship far away from your home system and you can't seem to move it, just select it and right-click on your home system and he'll fly there. Colony ship: If you click the stars you'll see a list of planets in that system on the right of the screen. You'll want to try to colonize the planets w

I think it's been addressed. I believe the response was basically, "We'd have to divert resources from GalCiv support over to StarDock support." No one wants that. :) ~SDC~
