Jaws, Darkspire, I just saw this post by carielf in the AP bug thread. Maybe it will help with your CTDs: "Save games with rallypoints are not loading correctly. I've fixed the problem here. I tried removing the rallpoint information from a savegame that someone sent me to see if that would let me load it, but I must have deleted too many bytes because it started crashing in a different place then. If anyone tries it and is successful, please let me know." ~SDC~

Paris
le traducteur diplomatique c est une merveille??
Oui.
I don't do incremental saves just overwrite the last time I saved. I am playing Gig/Obscene/Rare and am in the mopping up phases, so its particularly frustrating not to be able to complete it.
I get your point :notsure: I just tried my autosaved games --2autosaves and my last save-- (set to every 2 turns). It still loads. I'll set it to three, and give it a try. Maybe we can help Carielf limit the possibilities :) ~SDC~
Yes but you cant submit a score so i was led to believe.
I don't know yet: because of the compulsory militay victory, my game is dragging a little. It seems to me that I saw some people had submitted games to the metaverse under 1.49. I don't know for the scenarios though.
hence im back to 1.13
I can understand that: that's what I did with the first build. Now,I've been playing two games simultanously, one in each, to have a fall back pos
When you've been playing for 4 hours and now can't load teh game taht you've saved.. that's pretty annoying,
I realize that. And I do agree with you, it can be annoying: I couldn't reload a game I started under the previous beta, which was quite irritating. What I said is strange is that you cannot reaload your games, since I still can reload mine. Maybe it is just a corrupt save? Or it has to do with the game's options (I'm playing a small galaxy to try the beta). I just
I've got the same problem... During the game many CTD's really strings the game out. Had to load the autosave game on many occassions. Finally got fed up with it.. saved and now can't load from the saved game.. I did save a number of times and tested the loading of saved games as the previous beta didn't allow it..It's all very well anouncing something as available, but this is not really up to standard.. very dissapointing.I will be interested how you go. In that same game, in teh foreign policy stats page, (the Drengin have only one planet), their most populous planet is Poseidon (true), their happiets one is Earth :SURPRISED: ! I just checked, this is true for all civs stats page. We're such a happy bunch of people here on Earth, they all wish it was theirs! Is that supposed to give the happiest planet in galaxy or their happiest? ~SDC~

salut Germain A.

Thanks Duodecimal I just remembered I saw something in one of frogboy's first posts. But there isn't much details in it: "Paladin. Available only good good aligned civilizations, the Paladin in a fairly tough capital ship that has the added ability to restore the hit points of friendly ships in the same sector slightly faster." link: http://www.galciv.com/expansion.asp There is some info there about the scenarios and all. I had forgotten about it :) . ~SD

I have a question about logistics for you who have already played: is there a tech that helps this ability or it's just a cost for now? (when I was about to construct a 4th starbase (on a resource) I was informed that it would cost me 750bc to complete construction ( :SURPRISED: ). If logistics is a tech, I don't know where it is in the tech tree: can any of you enlighten me? As for the new races, I think it adds variety. And make the game more complex (when managing relations/alliances

Darkspire I do agree with you. I like long games too, even though I play mostly medium (I started a gig, my first to try out how it feels when the minimap looks like a real galaxy). I think the scoring system should be leveled: I did one tech victory, my longest game ever, I spent +/- 3hours clicking end turn, with all my resources into research, just to see how it would end. And was given a puny score. Even though I don't play for score (chech my record: so far my best is 13k)in a movement of
if you have Drengin.net does it dump them to the same folder?
Darkspire, I just auto-installed from stardock when the beta was made available. As far as I am concerned, it seems to have installed itself in another folder (somethink like C:\Program Files\Stardock\Drengin.net\AltarianProphecy). I've been playing both without problems so far (without reinstalling galciv again, I mean). ~SDC~

Hi everyone, I've just started 2 games (making up for the rest of the week :) ). One tough/gig/rare, in which at the end of grabbing race I had 8 or 9 systems (which is usually what I have in the end of my medium games) and one AP beta, small galaxy, with everyone in it. The new faces make it for a far more complex strategic game, and the logistics is a big factor in starbase management: I saw a resource available after a war between some of the other guys, and as usual rush build a constru
