I have almost all the mods that the library has and many more of my own and the only time I have had an anomalous score has been when I played lower levels and got way too much money from the AI's on the first couple of years.
Yes, I think Carielf explained that to overexploit minor races (for money for instance) can cause anomalous scores. I mentioned the mods because I remember at some point it was an issue (with the +10% or +20% PQ bonus).

hello Benjamin. Welcome. I think the mods folder was made so that you can download mods, and, in game, select either to activate them or not. (if I'm wrong I'm certain someone will correct me) :) Since I can see your submitted game (13k score, congratulations!) I guess it worked despite the CTD. The only thing to be careful about with mods is that if they give you too big a bonus (PQ bonus for instance), you may have a 0 score and "anomalous" difficulty, since it

As others have said here. The AI is definetly smarter. But once you get to know the game a little, it's manageable up to "painful". At least for me, and I am no big player, unlike the many Admirals and Vice Admirals who already replied. I've been playing a few games at each level, trying to go up, but now that I've reached crippling, I get crushed in avery short time. (:( I'd say, painful, when you manage to get there, is really a good challenge for once-in-a-while players.
I said stack, not add. The multiplicative is a side effect, but I think all are actually behaving the same way:Consider figure. For each starbase, apply bonus.e.g.Attack: For starbase X add X, for starbase Y add Y: Total +X+Y.Trade: The starbase itself produces X revenue. Y does too, result +X+Y revenue.Culture: Apply starbase X: Culture = (old value +X%). Apply starbase Y: Culture = (old value +X% + Y% + X*Y%). When X >100%, the X*Y becomes the most important term, thus the multiplicativ

Finally it wasn't that long (and my work is wuite boring at the moment...). Link to the thread: http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GM&id=38798#113405 But there was no activity in it in the past 48 days (:( Mr Spook, I would like having the mod as well. Can you give us a link where to download it, or do you need a email adress to send it too? Thanks! [Message Edited]

In the mods section there was a thread about it with a link to the website where those doing it, discussed their work. See message #5. I'm at work now, so I cannot go search for that thread, but I remember it was there. Sorry about the incomplete info, not very starfleet of me ;p

I just told him that as far as I know, Stardock is not in charge of the translation, therefore cannot give specifics about it. I would happily be wrong about this ;) .

Hello captain! I would have joined, but as the ring shows, I'm already engaged ;) It IS a good idea though. Sometimes I change all the civ names to have something closer to star trek universe. I'm curious to see the star trek mod that was under work a few time ago. If it is ever ready, it could become your empire's official mod! :) ~SDC~

I don't remember if this was mentionned before. In my current game I'm having a CTD if I click in the altarians "total routes" button, in the stats page. I've never noticed this before, but I cannot be sure that I clicked in that button before :notsure: . It works fine for the other races. By the way, I reloaded the autosave, tried again, and still had the CTD. Maybe the altarians have some secret encryption protocols that disrupts other races sensors ;p ~SDC~

Valkoon, I can't seem to find the changes history of the patch. I can tell you however, that the game is much better with the many tweaks that have been made based on players feedback. ~SDC~

Hello Valkroon, Welcome t the forum. 1) Yes you need your SN to download the updates. The latest version of the game is 1.13. There is also a bonus pack for download, that was released shortly after the game, and a free expansion made available since last september I think. The best way to get it all is, in my opinion, to have the Stardock Central software. It will show you the latest available version, and allows you to archive it, so you can install it later (on your home
Are these astonomic PQ values Metaverse compliant? Which mods do you recommend?
Good questions? Anyone more experienced than I has an idea?
Is there something like a mods pack or do I have to download them 1:1 from the Library?
You should try having a look at Lord Megatron's site Link to the mods site - http://files.galciv.org ~SDC~

Well, everytime I ask a question and get an answer, the thread is my favorite one, and if the answer says I was right, its author is my favorite one ;) . Todayit has been Ginata, although the environment thread can hardly be my favorite one. But until that I must say this is the most friendly forum I 've seen. So it's a global favorite. (otherwise I wouldn't be posting now, instead of working :) ) [Message Edited]

One last thing Maxti
I assume you are not a trained historical climatologist.
Since you don't believe them either (except the few ones, like the Maverick of the article, that aggres with you) i don't see what difference it would make. I am actually a developement economist, preparing a PhD in that area. I'm brazilian, married. And I have a brain. And since that's not enough, I even been accused of trying to use it from time to time. But never by my righ
