Thanks for the confirmation Darth Kryo. I guess ultimately it is only fair.

Thks Peace Phoenix, i'll give it a try.
If you have a TGN membership it'll depend (did you buy it with tokens or was it included during our transition to Phase 2), but we'll be making an option available once the game is available for people to upgrade to the CE boxed copy. Yarlen I wouldn't remember abou t when exactly was the transti
you won't be able to download the game until you get your boxed copy from GoGamer.com. Hi And what about those who have the totalgaming subscription? What should I do to have the boxed version (other than buying it again )? It seems to me
I've got a couple of free web-based games of my own loosely based on Diplomacy and Risk... Same here, but "board" based
it will not be playable until the 21st. I am basing this on a comment that Brad made ... something along the lines of 'Retail would freak if the game was purchasable online weeks before it hit the stores". Could we get confirmation on this? Does it mean that if I start downloading it , say next week, i will no longer be able to play with the be
China is a communist state - not a socialist one. For socialism - look to Europe. China hasn't been communist for about 30 years. (if it ever was: nationalising the industry doesn't make a country communist) There has been no socialism in Europe for a very long time too, and there are barely any traces at all left (unfortunatelly)from the
Ok, thanks BoogieBac
I too have a question about the metaverse, maybe someone can help me. I've played a game with the beta, and tried to submit it, but it would not work. then I saw that I can click on "metaverse" and it will give me the option to play a "metaverse game". Are these the only ones that can be submitted? Is there a difference with the games you play just by clicking in "new game"? Thks for the info
I started with civ1, then many years later SMAC, then galciv 1 from the start and now galciv2
Hello I have'nt been around for a while so I'm a little lost. I've had the beta through my totalgaming account. I was perfectly happy with downloading the game. But now I wonder: does it mean the downloadable version will be inferior to the "collector's edition" ? Event though I'll have it electronocally, should I then preorder a boxed version from stardock (as frogboy -I think it was him- said it as possible, just paying the handling and postage)? Thanks for the precision.
Moi Meme and Lord Kiron , these are really very good ideas . Moi Meme, I also I liked some of your ideas in the others threads as well. Very good suggestions. And, I guess I'm with Lowa11 , only discovering MOO by reading about it in the galciv forums, but couild not find it for sale anymore.
Was this immediately after restarting a saved game and hitting "turn" for the first time? I don't know for Moi Même, but I observed that exactly. None of my ships could move. I thought that maybe the saved game was corrupt somehow, waited a few days (so that any bad spirit in my computer would have time to leave) and tried again with a pr

With a Colony ship exit orbit and colonize close world, that can be solved Nope Apparently my new colony ship is out of range as well, even though it is still in orbit
Do any of you manage to save a game and then reload it? (I couldn't so far)
And more preciselly, to quote Frogboy: "This beta shouldn't be used to judge the "fun" ness of the game. Or even the graphics of it. For instance, we intentionally took out the textures on ships. Game balance isn't in there and there are lots of features not in. Examples: * The AI doesn't really function yet. * There's no star bases. * The technology tree is only at the very start * There's hardly any planetary i
I agree with Grifman about the tech screen. The only way I could know what was "reserchable" was by clicking it and seeing if something changed in the description screen. I couldn't really see the different shades of one color. (a bit like in early altrian proohecy I think, when in te mini map several races had very similar colors). Otherwise, so far I could start a game, however not save it or load it. think this is the more annoying problem, since without
Oh Yes, and impossible to load it without CTD. I'll try a previous autosave now. ... Nope, doesn't work. so far, for me, there is no way to reload a game.
Well, I could colonise a planet and even build another colony ship. I was so happy it worked without crashing that I tried to save the game, which caused a crash... I happened to me once to have about 74 corvettes (precursor event). The others were either the "Die Humans!" event or the precursor event for the AI, in which case the corvettes were used against whoever they were at war with. The times it hapened to be against me (either one of the events), it has complettelly ruined my game, if early on, or was just a nuisance, (because I had to protect very well my constructors and trade lines and AMM) and it tok me several turns to destroy about 140 corv
I had it once, and the AI got about 140 corvettes :SURPRISED: and it took a long, long, long time to destroy them all. It's no fun, specially since in mid-game, corvettes cannot do anything to your ships, but it take forever to "clean" the galaxy. And they can pretty well disrupt all your trade (they are also a threat to your AM missiles). Since then I always put the minimal amount on spying, for every race, as soon as I can and I've never had that particular event. However there are other one
Yes, I forgot to tell about them. But usually you can see them coming a long away, except when built right next to your planet... ~SDC~
