If you reinstalled WIndows, I would guess you might need to re-enter the Serial Number for your game? FWIW, GalCiv 2 still shows up under Purchased Software in SDC for me (just refreshed the view now to double check). - Ash

Is the universe in 2D? The universe is a 2D plane with 3D graphics. How do I view the tutorials again? Once they're downloaded, they're in the Gfx\Tutorials folder. You'll need a player that can view .bik video files. http://www.radgametools.com/ is the standard place to get such a player. No. Your money comes from your population (how much is controlled by your tax rate), from trading with other Civilizations, from tourism, and (potentially) from extorting the AI players. In other words, your cash inflow has nothing to do with production or research. Your cash outflow (ie, spending), on the other hand, is where production and research get involved. It won't work - yet. What you've been able to download so far is the preload that's been available for a week or so. The game does indeed go live today, but the most recent word from Stardock has been that it won't happen until about 3PM EST (GMT -5) - meaning it likely won't be playable until about 8PM your time. We're all rabidly hoping the good folks in charge decide to release the game earlier, but until it happens, we're just sitting here waiting with baited breath. -

There's only one sentence in there that is rather grammatically "icky". If you want to keep the same sentence structure, better would be: "It's people like you who do this kind of thing to computer players in video games on your planet." That said, the sentence structure is icky in its own right. Too many consecutive prepositional phrases. Just curious... the only other person that I've currently marked as a Senator in the Empire I've created tells me it doesn't seem to have any effect (other than showing names in bigger fields at the top of the Empire listing).
