Edit: Wait, DLL's are basicly little bundles of pre-compiled code, so I suppose you could have put it in there, but... wow, that does not seem like a great way to go about doing things!
What's wrong with abstracting a system into a collection of libraries, each with it's own DLL, so that when there is an update for the library like a bug fix or new functionality one only needs to update one DLL rather

nonissue. [e digicons]-_-[/e] people join, get kicked, think "had bad ping, they forgot to close a slot, they're making room for a buddy"... big deal... next. host leaves, think "oh, host is recreating, calling it a day, or joining a dfferent game"... big deal... next.

The problem with being overtly negative on the forums is it's self-defeating. For example, take Pirates of the Burning Sea. The game was going into a period of decline and needed fresh people. But after going on the forums all I saw was doom and gloom so I didn't join, thus the doom and gloom was driving off new players and the game couldn't get fresh blood (at least from me) hence more doom and gloom. The more doom and gloom we have in the forums, the fewer people

I think it's at least worth a shot to see how the proxy patch goes when it finally gets out... But yeah hate to be doom and gloom but this game is getting to be in a pretty bad state. [e digicons]:([/e]

Yeah I'm sure if you're at a university behind a heavy firewall you can just email IT and say "I want to play a game that uses P2P networking... port forward to me now!" and they'll get right on that. I can't think of much that is lower priority to a network admin than the performance of your video games.

Usually I find the best thing to do is semi-follow the ai around. He might not go where you want to go always, but at least 1.) you can protect it (somewhat) 2.) anywhere you go you have a free double-team 3.) it's not like the ai is gonna split up and cap flags on its own generally anyway.

yeah but dc'ing means you'll usually take a loss thanks to the new system... so it becomes a battle of will to see if you can get your opponent to dc first... if you're the last to dc you get the win right?

You upgraded the Death Timer. Awesome, now the enemy can kill you 10% quicker than they could before. You have level 4 Minotaur Minions, and they have almost as much armor and life as you do. Great, guess which of the three of you I will be killing first? Was pretty funny. [e digicons][/e] To be honest, I am pretty disappointed with the AI in this game given how good it is in the other stardock games (Gal Civ 2, Sins)... w
